Various comments by patrons overheard by staff: "This is the greatest idea - I read sometimes, but I've read twice as much this month!" My kids are so amazed to see me reading for me, not just to them!" "Thank goodness for this program, it's got me reading again - I've only used the library for movies lately!"
Comments like these make some extra work well worth it. In case you are a numbers person, over 300 people participated and over 1000 books were read in the one month period.
