This webpage is dedicated to listing trade and sell items I have, which may interest other collectors. I believe that no one can help a person build a collection like another collector. I have comics ( My first passion), cards, and action figures. I cannot encourage you enough to use the link to email me - I will sort through my current holdings to locate anything that might interest you. If you live in area where some items may be scarce, LMK that too. I will look for current items for you - at cost. Although I no longer collect cards, I have large collection which includes modern and older stars. Some of the available items include Peyton Manning, Donovan McNabb, Vlad Guerrero, and Larry Walker just to name a few.
Action figures have always interested me, because it is my belief that with appropriate marketing, and relative pricing, an action figure line could rival the income generated by a video game franchise. The key would be to recognize your target market - not every kid or adult can buy 50 figures at $10.00 each, but they will go out of their way to pay $5.00 to accumulate a 25-30 figure set. Toss in some variants to spice up the market, and you would have a real franchise - the only thing ToddToys did right for their Spawn line, was releasing everything in a series. You could easily complete a series before the next came out.
Comic Books are the easy #1 for me. I currently own 10s of thousands of books. I started collecting when I was 6 years old. My first actual purchase was from a rack in the 7-11, it was Uncanny X-men #153. Before that every comic I got was second hand, from a flea market or a neighbor. At one point in my early 20s, I thought I would quit - that worked for about a year. I finally decided that reading everything was fine, but keeping everything would eventually acomplish 2 things: 1. I would run out of space. 2. I would go insane, due to the fact I have every item I own memorized - and that is the path to insanity. I now am on a strict diet of JSA, JLA, X-Men, character landmarks (Steve Rogers death), first appearances, and classic stuff. I hope everyone can pass on a hobby to younger generations, and I hope it is a character builder - not "how to cook meth or hotwire a car".
