New Mod: Littlebabywulf |

Hey gang!
We have added another mod to our excellent staff, littlebabywulf. She has been around quite a while, and has been faithful and active since joining. She will make an awesome addition to the team.
Littlebabywulf will particularly be helping us out with the Patterns section and Pattern Board, taking care of users' requests. If you ever need any help in this area, she's the lady for the job! But please continue to use the pattern board or the Contact a Mod feature to send petitions about patterns.

New features! Femotes and redesigned Characters page! |

| Thanks to Divisor for making us female emotes for our female users (although male users can use them also). I also did a slight redesign of the Characters page to match the site. Over the next few weeks I'll be updating the look of a couple of our other pages also. Stay tuned! |

STATUS UPDATE: Site Errors |

Hey guys.
I know ACC has been suffering from several errors, and has been really slow lately. While we have a feeling this has to do with all of the increased flow of traffic ACC has been getting lately, we'd like to figure out a solution without having to buy a new server.
Just to give you an idea, anytime the server is rebooted, the site seems to run very smoothly for a while -- often up to 24 hours -- before slowing back down and causing the errors again. So starting today, we've scheduled a daily automatic reboot at 4:00 AM, ACC time.
We don't plan on this being the permanent solution, but it should keep the server running much more smoothly than it has been. If it still keeps having problems, we'll increase the schedule to twice a day.
We'll keep you posted of any resolutions to this, but in the meantime, this should help quite a bit.

Quick Announcement: Deleting Patterns |

| Just to let you know, we've now given you guys the ability to delete your own published patterns. You still can not edit your published patterns though. And as always, once you delete a pattern, it's gone for good. |

Mass PTs |

Many users are starting to send more and more mass PTs -- Private Threads to many, sometimes very many users. Some of these PTs are becoming borderline spam, so we felt it was time we addressed this.
Out of courtesy to other members, please limit the number of mass PTs you send, and the number of people you include in these PTs. As a general rule, when you send out a mass PT, think about whether or not you would want to receive the PT.
One example are PTs requesting other users to add you to their buddy list. In general, buddy list PTs are a bad idea, unless you're just trying to make friends. But when you're doing it for the sole reason to make sure all of the people that you have on your buddy list also have you on their buddy list, that's usually not a good idea. We never wanted the buddy list thing to become a popularity contest or a status competition. If it comes to this point, we may consider removing the column that shows which users have you added as their buddy.
A few other examples are PTs wanting people to join (or check out) your website, or just chatting with people that are currently online. While these are ok if they're limited, it becomes annoying to some of the users when too many people are included in the PT, and it becomes more spam than just conversation.
Again, we realize this is a community, and we want it to remain a community. But we just ask that each of you try and consider these things before including too many people in your private threads.
