AKC Reg. Pug Puppies

We have 5 AKC registered Pug puppies. There are 2 males - one fawn, one black, and 3 females - 2 black and one fawn. The pups will have full registration (as opposed to limited registration, in which entry in AKC events is restricted and the dog's offspring cannot be AKC registered). The puppies have been hand-raised around kids, so they're very affectionate and playful. They are all paper/ litterbox trained! They have also been vet checked (vet says they're all healthy with beautiful coats) and have had their first shots and de-worming (no worms were found, it was just precautionary as most puppies do have them). This is our only litter - we are NOT a puppy mill and don't have a ton of dogs popping out puppies, we have one female Pug and one male and will not be having any more litters since our dam had to have an emergency c-section to deliver this one. Our dogs' health is our top priority, and the dam and sire are both very active and healthy and are not overweight. The pups' sire has a double-curl tail, and most of the puppies look like they will have them as well. The puppies were whelped on April 16, 2004, and will be 8 weeks old and ready for their new homes on June 11th.

Pugs are perfect apartment dogs as they're fairly small (most weigh between 14 and 18 pounds, although some males weigh up to 22). They're also wonderful with kids. They must be inside pets, as their pushed in snouts make it difficult for them to disperse heat in hot weather, and their coats are not full enough to keep them adequately warm in cold weather. Be prepared for shedding, especially with the fawns as they are double coated - although non-seasonal shedding can be reduced quite a bit by using a supplement like Shed-Stop or similar. If a bit of shedding and a Pug puppy's high energy level do not deter you, a Pug is a perfect family dog!
