"Ska Mafia" started out with Ismael, chupaSKAbra, and Ivan (old bass player) in a band called "Conspicious Floaties" (inside joke). "C F" was a hardcore punk band lookin' to go ska. After awhile, we felt Ivan couldn't handle the funk/ska/hardcore style so he was let free. chiones set out to find horn players, he asked his friend Wes if he knew any horn players. He said he had a couple of friends that played so he asked his friend jesse if he would like to join his friends ska band, he said "sure." One down, few more to go. One day after skool danny saw some bro walkin' out the door with a trumpet case so he asked, "hey horn player dude, wanna join a ska band ?" and Sam replied, "sure i guess." So...2 down few more to go (and still lookin) . Next was the hunt for the new bass player, but the only bass player chonies knew was Wes but he was already in a band called "Second to Last" (gay pop punk) but he was the only one left that danny knew. He ask Wes to come jam to see if he would like it. Last day of skool everyone got together to jam and Wes nutted his pants, he loved us so much he dropped his loser band to join us, but he still hasn't dropped gay pop punk music ( thank god he doesnt play that shit in the band). the singer came last ,ismael sorta knew him but we heard him sing at a talent show and thought he was pretty good and we ran into him(anthony) at hungry heart(indie record store) were he works and asked him if he wanted to join and he said "sure " right on the spot... a week after anothony joined .but we relized after 4 weeks that he wasnt gonna stay long cuz he never showed up to any of the practices so we told him to pick up his check and get the f@&k out .izzy met this dude named chris in his summer skool class that played trumpet and asked him if he wanted to jam with a ska band everything went super kool with chris and he invited his friend melissa to join the band too (who was very surprised we asked her to join)after melissa joined our singer josh a.k.a jose came in he was a long time friend of the band and cam e to jam with us and we loved him so much we asked him if he wanted to join (since all our past singers did kinda shitty no offense matt,abe,rocky,)hahahahaha ...but he left cuz we werent christian enough for him ...(we'll miss you jose) we didnt have too look far for a replacement singer. wes's friend james heard us a couple times and he tought we were freakin awesome and he wanted to join us but we told him we had a singer which we did (jose) so he tried to take up trumpet to get in the band .but after josh left he came to jam with us on vocals.so we let him join us as our singer cuz he has a kool voice and can write lyrics like no other musicain i know . but after our first show at valley wide conflicts started to rise between his other band cpa, they wanted james to be in one band only ,so we all decided it would be best to let him go and pick up another singer .Which brings to today.
