If you just want a simple wedding ceremony on a private spot, then the beaches in Los Cabos are perfect places for you. Some suggestions:

 

Ø      Surfer’s Beach (with the arch as background)

Ø      Lover’s Beach  (next to the arch)

Ø      Santa Maria Bay

 

You may consider any of these sites for your wedding, or you may already have a Los Cabos location in mind where you want your wedding to be held, such as a villa, residence or hotel. If so, just let me know, and I will quote your wedding accordingly.

 

The big question: how to plan a wedding:

 

1. Please get involved with the information that you will read in the following pages

 

2. Request and review the food and bar services according to the resort or venue that you liked. The document containing these food and bar services, include important information to plan your wedding.

 

3. Please request the second step form. This is a form is filled out by you and will tell us about those services that you want to consider for your first estimate. Some clients ask us to prepare more than two estimates and this is a good way to decide which resort or venue meets your budget.

 

4. We assume that once you get the estimate(s), you can decide where you want to get married and that is when most of the resorts request a deposit to secure the date. Each resort has different policies so you will be informed properly by us.

 

NOTE: Please consider that Perfect Weddings will always help to match your budget with your wish list. Sometimes the first estimates go over the client’s budget but this is when we will guide you on how to reduce the cost of your wedding and keeping an excellent standard of quality.

 

5. Perfect Weddings will also request a $500.00 USD deposit to secure our services and it is also a credit of your wedding expenses. This deposit is requested 2 weeks later.

 

6. Once these steps are done (estimate approved by you and deposits) then we will proceed with a document called check list. The check list is a very detailed and organized document that will help you and me to go over every single detail of your wedding services, such as type of flowers, music details, logistics, etc. Little by little you will get familiar with all these steps.

 

 

DATE: Although you did not mention a specific date for your wedding, please do not hesitate to ask us to retain our services for the date you are looking for and we will be more than happy to confirm it.

 

DATE: Since you want your wedding on Saturday May 14^th 2005, we need to confirm that our company will be available for your wedding. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have decided to retain our services as your wedding coordinators in Los Cabos.

 

TIME: Most of our clients request a sunset wedding, but that is entirely up to you. Let us know when you want your wedding to be held, and we will plan it accordingly.

 

LEGALITIES: The cost to get legally married in Mexico is $470.00 USD. This expense includes: the judge fee, the paperwork processing, blood test, medical certificate, the marriage license and a certified copy of the original document. We provide the marriage application with its instructions. The requirements to get legally married are: Marriage application filled out, copy of id’s, 4 witnesses id’s, first and last pages of the divorce decree(s) if applicable. An appointment to go to the public hospital is scheduled to do the blood test unless you provide your blood type information; this has to be done prior to your arrival date. And finally the tourist cards that your flight attendant hand to you before landing.

 

Coordination: This is a mandatory expense and it is related to our services. Our responsibilities are many but the main ones are:

 

Ø       To take you step by step in this process.

Ø       To keep you informed about changes on the estimate and wedding costs.

Ø       To guarantee the prices described below with the vendors or associates.

Ø       To coordinate your wedding according to the logistics that you and I agree.

Ø       To represent you here in Cabo as if we were your employees.

 

Coordination fees are quoted depending on the size of the party.

 

Ø       From 2 to 20 guests:      $600.00 USD

Ø       From 21 to 50 guests:    $1,000.00 USD

Ø       Over 51 guests:             $1,200.00 USD

 

 

Ceremonies and Legalities:

 

Please consider that ceremonies and the legal aspect to get married here in Mexico are two different things. Ceremonies are only protocol since they will not make your marriage legal. People get confused easily with these two services.

 

If you decide to get legally married in your country, then the legal expenses are waived and still you will have the opportunity to have a ceremony here in Mexico.

 

There are 3 ceremonies that we usually offer to our clients:

 

Ø       The civil – standard ceremony which is the translation of the ceremony that the Judge performs

Ø       The ceremony of Roses, and

Ø       The Tibetan Bell Ceremony

 

The first two are performed by me, Sergio Morales and the last one is performed by Elizabeth our recommended American Minister. As for the Elizabeth, please consider an extra expense of $350.00 USD for her services. The other two are my gift to you (no cost).

FLOWERS:

 

All the flowers come from mainland and this is the reason why we request to our clients to decide the flowers that they want at least 3 weeks before the wedding date, this way we will be able to secure the shipment. In addition to this, we want to ask you to consider that we have a flower catalog which includes all the flowers that we can get from mainland. Some flowers are seasonal, so please take some time to review this catalog and once you choose the flowers of your preference, then we will be able to check with our vendors if we can get them.

Rehearsal of Ceremony:

This service is related to our responsibilities as wedding planners and we will be more than happy to coordinate this service for you.

 

Rehearsal Dinner:

After the rehearsal, you may wish to have a rehearsal dinner and this is a service that we usually coordinate as well. Some options are available in San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and with different prices and atmospheres, We can give you details upon request.

 

MUSIC:

 

Disc Jockey

Highly recommended. If you want your reception to be a party, you should consider this option. The DJ is the only one capable of providing many different types of music from the beginning until the end of your wedding. The price is $750.00 USD. This fee ensures that the DJ will be available throughout the night, no matter how late the party ends.  The DJ offers the following services:

 

DJ Provides recorded music appropriate for each part of your wedding, such as the pre-ceremony welcome time, the processional, the post-wedding cocktail hour, dinner, first dance, party, etc.

A microphone for the ceremony and toast is included too.

 

If appropriate, can provide special lighting effects for the party such as is found at many popular dance clubs.

 

Please feel free to request our “DJ List of Songs”. It is a 40-page document, and even it is not a complete list. On the list is music ranging from classical to rap, and everything in between. If you also want to bring some of your own music on CDs, the DJ will play them for you. He will take good care of them and return them to you after your wedding.

 

NOTE: The DJ will be available to cover your music needs at your “Rehearsal Dinner”  by adding $350.00 USD more, so you can have the two events for $1,100.00 USD

 

Mexican Trio:

The trio is recommended to create a Mexican ambiance. It is just perfect for weddings of less than 50 guests. Music from the Mexican Trio is appropriate after the ceremony or during dinner. One hour of their time is recommended, and certainly no more than two. $300.00 USD per hour

 

Mariachi:

The Mariachi and Mexican Trio are similar since both play Mexican music. However the Trio plays more romantic music and the Mariachi band is more fun and festive. There are 7 players in a Mariachi band, and it is recommended for weddings over 50 guests. The Mariachi is highly recommended right after the ceremony. $670.00 USD per hour. A 4 piece Mariachi band (with horns) is also available for $370.00 USD

 

Classical music options: We use the services of several different classical music trios and duos to provide classical music for your wedding. We highly recommend this service, even for a beach wedding. This is the best option if you wish to receive your guests formally. Our musicians can play music for your processional, recessional and even incorporate music during the ceremony. They add a very nice touch to any post-ceremony cocktail reception. One to two hours is generally enough. We also have a list with their most requested music, so feel free to request a copy of the list. $350.00-$420.00 USD per hour, depending on the group selected.

 

Candles with Bags (Luminaries) and Tiki Torches:

These help to provide ambiance during the evening and look just great! They cost $1.50 USD each, and I recommend buying 100 to 200 of them. They are placed at different areas around the reception area, giving a special touch to your wedding. Tiki torches are great too to decorate your wedding site, $12.00 USD each

 

Beauty and Spa Services:

Several resorts have their own facilities. We will be able to send you this information upon request. Still, Perfect Weddings  will be able to bring these services to your room. These are:

Video: We use the services of an excellent, professional video photographer in Los Cabos. He will shoot, edit and deliver a video to you in DVD format. Also, as with our photographer, the video photographer has no time restrictions or limits. You also can have just your ceremony on video for a lower price, in case you do not want the full service. The prices are $500.00 USD for full service or $350.00 USD for 20 minutes before the ceremony, the ceremony and 20 minutes after.

Both are perfect for a wedding and you can see the difference in our album on line. $4.50 USD each.

 

Fireworks:

I think there is no need to describe the beauty of these services, expensive yes but the show is simply spectacular!

Your Wedding Stationary:

 

This service is related to the seating arrangement that you want to have for your reception. You can make a seating chart including the name of every guest and the table where you want to seat them. Based on this information we prepare your stationary:

 

Ø       A card per guest with his / her name

Ø       A table card with the number or name of table

Ø       A nice frame that we place on the guest book table including the list of all of your guests alphabetically arranged.

Ø       One printed menu per person.

Food and Bar:

 

 

 

Every location has its own menus and bar options. Menus and bar options are sent upon request once you decide the location or locations you are interested in. Remember that the first step to plan a wedding is to choose your location. After that, we will provide your food and price options. If you decide to have your wedding at a private villa, our chef will invite you to a food-tasting once you arrive in Los Cabo. You will be impressed with his food, I am sure. The hotels obviously would never allow me to bring my chef onto their properties.

 

The food and bar options will be sent to you accordingly with the location that you are interested in. Each file will contain:

• Buffets
• Hors D Oeuvres
• Open bar options
• Wine options
• Champagne
• Chef´s favorites
• Payment policies and pay forms
• Operational policies such as the time your wedding should be done.

Wedding Cake:

 

Most of the resorts allow us to provide a very special wedding cake for you. Our pastry chef makes great wedding cakes. We normally recommend four different kinds of cake: chocolate, strawberries, cheese and carrot. It costs $6.00 USD per person. If you want to suggest a different flavor, please let us know, and we will make it for you. We can design your cake the way you want it. As with floral arrangements, you can get ideas for your cake design from our album on-line or from bridal magazines. You can request a “cake & wine” tasting before your wedding, as well, so that you can decide the flavor that you want. For a wine tasting, we will provide domestic wines up to two bottles each of red and white wine at no cost to you.

       Perfect Weddings requires a deposit of $500.00 USD upon your confirmation. The balance is paid in Mexico 4 days before the wedding event. Perfect Weddings will send you instruction on how to send the funds.

 

       10% Federal Tax will be added to all services described above

 

       No surprises: At Perfect Weddings you will know in advance how much your wedding will cost before it happens.

 

       Cancellation of services: 1 week before your wedding, there is no way to cancel a service already contracted.

 

       Some hotels will request deposits on bookings (rooms, food and bar). Every location has its own policies. Once you decide on a location, you will be informed about this.

 

       Some private locations will also request the location fee in advance. Again, once you decide on the location, we will provide you with that location’s policies.

 

       No credit cards accepted for services provided by Perfect Weddings, only personal or company checks, traveler checks or cash.

 

       An updated estimate will be sent to you every time you request it during the process of the planning. The final estimate will be presented to you 1 week before your wedding for your final approval.
