Game Worn Jerseys

Toronto Maple Leafs-Bob Neely

Mid 70's tie down dureen Rawlings jersey of defenseman Bob Neely. The interesting thing about this jersey is the nameplate. The Leafs did not start wearing nameplates on their road jerseys until late in the 1977-78 season. However, the Leafs did wear nameplates for certain games in the early to mid 70's as evidenced by pics of Brian Glennie and Jim McKinney in the "Make Way for the Leafs" book that cronicled the 1974-1975 team. Jersey has lighter wear (as these weren't worn regularly) with a repair to the #3 on the back. The nameplate is in very rough condition and is hanging on by a few dozen stiches on each side. Purchased from Rich Ellis's Spirit of the Game.
