WELCOME TO OPUS PODUNK ONLINE

It all started when I was six and I got my first set of sticks from my brother Steve. After that I beat on everything I could, especially pillows and paint cans. Then I tried to play guitar and that did everything but work out. Then when I was eleven I got into the school band, after taking a break for a few years I thought it was time to put my ADD to work. I learned all the basics for snare drum and played them unmercifully for hours at a time. In eighth grade I started playing drum set and about a month after that I played my first solo at the Oakwood Middle School Talent Show (April 24,2002). On February 8, 2003’, of my ninth grade I played Eastpointe Puts On The Ritz (which is another talent show for the city I live in…. and is where I met Tom and Stefan). In that summer on June 26, 2003’ a magical chemically imbalanced trio of totally different genres of music met in a garage for a jigsaw wonder of grunge meets funk meets metal (the metal portion is me). After that day miracles occurred as if Stefan and Tom were the Keebler elves with some outrageously large hungers for some good ol’ fashion song writin’. Currently I am in three different bands : OPUS PODUNK, DEALEY PLAZA, AND…. The last one doesn’t have a name…. YET.

 

INSPIRATIONS: IF THEY PLAY DRUMS, THAN THEY HAVE INSPIRED ME IN WAYS OF COUNTLESS MERIDIANS. (My biggest inspirations are Buddy Rich, Joey Jordison and last but not least KYLE TAGGART and JOHNNY HOTTER)

 

FAVORITE BAND: I DON’T HAVE ONE, BUT I RESPECT COUNTLESS BANDS SUCH AS, 311-SLIPKNOT-MUDVAYNE-WITH RESCUE BREATHING-INNSURECTION-EVEN THE ODD-THE USED-DIMMU BORGIR-HATEBREED-OLD MAN’S CHILD-CIRCUIT-RELIC-NIRVANA-PRIMUS-LAMB OF GOD-ATREYUE-LONESTAR-AARON BUEHL-RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS-DREAM THEATER- AND ANYBODY ELSE THAT DOES IT FOR THE LOVE OF THE INDUSTRY.

 

Favorite color: I am color blind, so probably BLACK.

 

Favorite food: anything that can, has, or could’ve smiled back.

Favorite activity: PLAY DRUMS, LISTEN TO MUSIC OR WATCH A MOVIE WITH MY GIRLFRIEND HEATHER………(HER DAD IS RUNNING FOR MAYOR OF EASTPOINTE SO “FOR A POSITIVE CHANGE FOR THE FUTURE …VOTE DAVID AUSTIN …… trust me you won’t regret it!”
