Salena’s Misfortune
The next morning Salena and Renee were walking to school. They were deep in conversation about last nights events.
“So maybe we should try calling our scout powers. Maybe that would help.”Renee suggested
“Maybe. Or maybe I’m not supposed to be a scout anymore.”Salena said hopeful
“Nah. That can’t be it.” Renee said shaking her head “I think your still supposed to be a scout, but you’ve just got to find something.”
“Find something? Like what?” Salena asked disbelievingly
“I don’t know. The princess, who the enemy is, something.” replied Renee “It could be any number of things.”
Salena and Renee met up with Lita and Amy a block away from the school.
“Hey guys.” Renee greeted
“Hi.”Lita said “How’s it going?”
“Fine.” Salena replied “Can’t wait for the warm weather though.”
“Yeah. The cold sucks.” Lita agreed
The girls walked to school and to their separate home rooms.
Salena walked into her home room and saw Kenny already there.
“Hi Kenny.” Salena greeted sitting down
“Hello. How are you?” he asked
“Fine. You?” salena replied
“Great. I was wondering. Do you want to come over to my house after school? I’ve been have trouble in science and i could use some help.” Kenny said
“Sure. I have nothing planned for today.” Salena agreed a little uneasy
“Excellent. I’ll meet you out front after school then.” said Kenny “Oh i want you to have this.”
Kenny pulled out a small silver bracelet that had a small heart charm on it. He took Salena’s left wrist and put it on for her.
“It’s beautiful. Thank you.” Salena replied dulcet
Once the bell rang Salena walked out of the class and headed for first period. Salena had gym first, but wasn’t in the mood to play basketball so she sat down on the bleachers. Salena saw the red haired girl that Ryan was hanging out with walk into the gym. Salena recognized her immediately. The red head was talking to another red head who was none-other-than May Line Davis, she was a girl Salena despised in grade school. Once everyone was in the gym the teacher called the class to order. The teacher put the class into groups of 3. Salena, to her great disappointment, was grouped with May Line and Ryan’s friend.
“Hello Salena.” May Line said sarcastically
Salena said nothing.
“This is Natalia. I’m sure you’ve seen her. She’s been hanging out with Ryan.” May Line introduced
“Hi.” Natalia said smiling
Salena still said nothing.
“Aren’t you going to greet her?” May Line asked trying to intimidate her
“So Natalia. Where are you from?” Salena asked ignoring May Line
“Canada.” she replied
“Really my friend Kenny came from there. Do you know each other?” Salena asked
“No i don’t think i do. Why do you ask?” Natalia asked
“Just wondering. So how do you know Ryan?” asked salena cautiously
“I have class with him.” Natalia replied “He’s really sweet. When i first met him he was upset because of his ex-girl-friend kept secrets from him.”
“Really?” May Line said deviously “Salena didn’t you go out with Ryan?”
“Shut up May Line.” salena said sternly as she got up and walked away towards the restroom. Salena hide in the restroom the rest of the class.

At the end of the school day Salena waited outside the front doors for Kenny. Renee saw her and walked over.
“Hey what’s up?” she asked
“Nothing. I’m just waiting for Kenny. I’m going over to his house to help him with his science.”Salena answered
“Oh. Ok.” Renee said disapprovingly walking away.
Kenny walked over to Salena.
“Ready to go?”he asked
Salena nodded. Kenny took salena’s hand and they walked. They walked for about 15 minutes until salena realized she had never been to this side of town before.
“Where are we going? I thought we were going to you house.” Salena asked getting nervous
“We are. We’re almost there. Its just around the corner.” he replied
They turned the corner and came upon a yellow house. Kenny walked up the steps and unlocked the door.
“Come on in.” He said holding out his hand
Salena walking into the house. It had white walls and wood floors. The dark blue curtains were closed and all the lights were off. Salena saw pictures of people on the walls that looked like they came out of a horror movie.
“You live here?” salena asked uneasy
“Yeah. This is my home.” he replied
“Its so dark.”
“Yeah. Well my mom doesn’t like the sun. She isn’t home right now. She had to work.” he stated
Salena looked around the living room. It looked normal. Dark, but normal.
“Why don’t we go upstairs? All my books are up in my room.” Kenny suggested walking toward the steps
“Ok.” salena said following him.
Kenny opened the door on the far end of the hall and walked into the room. He waited for Salena before entering more. Salena walked into the room. It was completely black. She stared to get freaked out.
~*Maybe Renee was right. Maybe he is up to no good.*~she thought
Kenny closed the door and put his hand on Salena’s shoulder, which made her nearly jump out of her skin.
“It’s ok. There is nothing in here that can hurt you.” he said calmly
“Where are we?” she asked as a cool breeze swept through her.
“In my room.” he replied
Salena shivered “Then why is it so cold and dark?”
“It’s dark because i haven’t turned on the light yet. As for cold, well I’m not sure why its cold.” Kenny stated
Kenny lifted his hand off of Salena’s shoulder and walked away. Salena could hear his foot steps on the ground, but they were heading off into the darkness.
“Kenny? Where are you?”Salena asked shivering
He didn’t answer. Salena could still hear his foot steps walking away from her. Salena turned around to open the door, but when she felt around on where the door should be she couldn’t find the doorknob.
“Kenny where are you? I’m getting really freaked out right now! Where did you go?” Salena yelled into the darkness.
Salena opened her bag and felt around for her scepter hoping it would help her now like it has done in the past. She moved her books and pencils around but couldn’t find the scepter.
“Oh no. Where did it go? I know i put it in here.” Salena said to herself then her left wrist began pulling her into the darkness.
Salena’s bracelet pulled her deeper and deeper into the darkness. She tried to get the bracelet off but the more she tried the tighter it became. Eventually she gave up on getting the thing off and concentrated on watching where she was going, though she couldn’t see anything. Salena walked for what seemed like hours. Finally she saw a light flickering up ahead. Salena walked closer. The closer she got the more lights she saw flickering. Once Salena got about 3 feet from the lights she saw the lights were tiny white dots that where in the shapes of constellation. The constellation Salena saw in front of her was the Ursa Minor and the Little Dipper with the north star being the brightest of the dots. Next to that was Orion’s constellation. Salena looked around for Kenny, she was still shivering as the air had gotten colder.
“Ah there you are. I was wondering if you would ever make it here.” Kenny said walking up to her.
“Where are we? What are we doing here? What is this place?” Salena asked backing away
“I told you, this is my room.” he stated “I asked you to come here to help me with my school work.”
Kenny turned around and walked away from her. He held his hand out as though he were hold a dog leash. Once he did the bracelet pulled her left arm in his direction. He kept walking, as he did so did salena.
“Where are we going?” Salena asked fearful
“You’ll see.” Kenny answered
They walked a few feet, then a door appeared in front of Kenny. He opened it and walked in. Salena did as well, though resentfully. Once inside the door closed automatically. Salena looked around. The room looked as though it didn’t belong in this time. There was a desk with books scattered on it, a bed covered in black blankets, and a chair that looked like something royalty would sit in and a dark wooded cabinet the looked as though it belonged in the past.
“This is where you will spend eternity.” Kenny said with an evil grin
“What do mean? Kenny what’s going on?” Salena commanded
“I’ll show you.” he replied walking over to the desk .
He pulled out a small vial of green liquid. He opened it and drank it. Almost immediately he changed into Kensi. Kenny’s brown hair and hazel eyes turned black. His school uniform turned into a black tuxedo (only he wasn’t wearing the coat).
“Who are you?!”Salena asked in shock
“Who am I. I am Lord Kensi. King of the Macrocosm dimension.” he answered.
Kensi flicked his hand toward the bed and Salena suddenly floated over to it. Salena was in complete shock. She looked at him disdainfully.
“Now. Now princess don’t look at me that way.” Kensi said sitting down in the chair
“What did you call me?” Salena asked horrified
“What don’t like being called princess? No you never did, did you.” he replied
“I’m not a princess!” Salena said firmly
“Yes you are. You are the Princess of Light. Princess Saran Sidra Light if i remember correctly.” he stated
“No I’m not. I don’t know who told you that i am but they lied. I’m not a princess. Never was, never will be.” Salena repeated
“Oh really?” Kensi replied disbelievingly “Then how can you use this?”
Kensi pulled Salena’s scepter right out of thin air. Salena’s jaw dropped.
“Where did you get that?” she wondered aloud
“You bag.” he answered pointing to her bag that was on the floor. “Only someone with the blood of the royal star family could ever use this. I first saw you with it when we went for hot chocolate at the Cherry Blossom Café. That’s when i knew you were the one i was searching for.”
“You were the one behind the attack at the café?” salena asked
“I was behind all of the attacks. Even the ones with the sister witch’s, Earth Wind Water and Fire.” he replied
“Why?” Salena asked
“Because i wanted you. I’ve want you since i first saw you a thousand years ago in the Silver Millennium.”
“I wasn’t alive in that time.” responded Salena
“Oh yes you were. Everyone has a past life. Being the princess of Light was your’s, whether you want to believe it or not.” Kensi confirmed
“No it wasn’t. You got the wrong girl.” Salena stated
“Really? I don’t think so.” he said.
Kensi walked over to Salena and waved his hand over her. Salena’s uniform changed into a dark blue silk evening gown. It was spaghetti straps and had a slit at the bottom that went up to her thigh.
“Now stay put. I have things to do.” he said before walking out the door

Back on Earth at Salena’s house.
“Natasha have you seen Salena?” Steve asked “She was supposed to be home right after school.”
“No i haven’t. She might be over at Renee’s.” Natasha guessed
“She isn’t at Renee’s house. I was just there.” Star said walking into the kitchen.
“Then where could she be?” Steve asked nervously
“Renee told me she went to this guy Kenny’s house to help him with his homework.” Star confirmed
“She should have been home hours ago though.” said Steve
“I wouldn’t worry about Salena.” Oryan said walking in the back door “She can take care of herself, as she has so kindly told me when we were attacked at the Café a few days ago.”
“Right. Well Salena know she has to be home for dinner and she isn’t here.” Steve reminded them
“Star did Renee tell you this guys address?” Natasha asked
“No. She doesn’t know where he lives. And from what i can tell Salena didn’t either. I went to Sharta’s and Serena’s houses to find out, but they had no clue.”the brown cat answered
“We know where she is or at least how to find her.” Sid said walking into the room
“Yeah. Don’t worry.” Sici said following her twin
“Really? How do you know?” Steve asked
They didn’t answer. Steve, Natasha, and Star exchanged curious expressions.
“We think Salena might be in big trouble.” Sici said
Sid nodded her head in agreement.
“We know she went with the weird guy from school.” Sici added
“We also think he might be an enemy.” Sid corresponded
“What do you mean an enemy?” Natasha asked
“You know the ones you fight when you are Sailor North Star. You know the two people Salena told you about when we went to the park and she almost got into a fight.” Sici replied
“I’m not Sailor North Star.” Natasha lied
Sid walked over to Natasha, who was sitting on the floor next to a pile of home work. She touched Natasha’s forehead and a bright yellow light erupted and Natasha’s body floated into the air. Her school uniform transformed into a sailor scout uniform. Once the light disappeared Natasha was Sailor North Star. She had a regular scout uniform with a white skirt that had a orange streak at the bottom, yellow bows, orange knee high boots and a gold tiara with an orange gem in the middle. She was holding a orange/bronze staff with a yellow star on the top.
“How did you do that?” North Star asked amazed
Sid didn’t answer.
“What are you hiding from us?” Star asked
