The Christmas Time Blues

Everything was back to normal after the last attack and to Salena’s great pleasure the Christmas holiday was finally here. She wouldn’t have to worry about school for a few days.
Salena was sitting in a small Café near her house watching the snow fall. She was think to herself how her life has changed so much since Oryan came to her house.
~*Oryan changed everything. Him and his cats. I wonder how my life would be if he hadn’t come. Would i have all the friends i have now? Probably not.*~she thought
Salena looked around the Café and watched the people sitting at the different tables. She saw there was an old couple sitting not to far from her holding hands and talking about how they were going to spend the holiday. Next to them was a man reading a book.
~* I wonder if any of them know what really goes on in this city.*sigh*~
Salena looked back out the window. She saw Serena and Darien walking down the street. Serena gabbing away.
Salena decided to head home before it got dark. She put on her coat and paid for her drink. Once Salena got home it was snowing hard.
“I’m home.” She yelled to anyone who was in the house.
“Ok.” Natasha yelled from her room.
Salena walked up in to Natasha’s room and sat on her bad.
“What are you doing?” she asked
“The homework i got.”she replied
“Why? We have days to do it.” Salena asked disapprovingly
“I want to have the entire holiday free so I’m doing it now.” Natasha said
“Ok.” Salena said walking out of the room and in to her own.
Salena went to her closet and pulled out some boxes and rapping paper.
“I guess I’ll start raping their gifts.” she said to herself
“Gifts for what?” Sidra asked forming in her mirror.
Salena acted as though she hadn’t heard her.
“Your not still mad at me for telling your parents that you’re the princess are you?” Sidra asked
Salena didn’t answer.
“I guess so. You can’t blame me. They would have found out sooner or later. So why not just tell them?” she asked
“Because i didn’t want the to know.”Salena replied
“Why not?”
“Because. This is my life now. Not yours. You lived your life and sacrificed yourself for Oryan. So stop butting into my life.” Salena ordered putting the present down.
“How did you know that?” Sidra asked startled
“That is none of your business.”
Sidra looked at Salena as though wonder if she should respond to that comment. “Actually it is. That was my life. So it is my business.”
“Well you seem to be full of answers, so figure it out yourself.” Salena suggested
Sidra looked alarmed at Salena’s statement. Sidra looked hurt as her image faded.
Salena picked up the gifts and headed downstairs to put them under the tree. As she began, Steve walked in.
“Hello.” he said happily
“Hi. How was shopping?” Salena asked see the bags in his hands.
“Fine. How was your day?” he asked
Salena shrugged “Fine i guess.”
“Oh. I almost forgot your mom, Sid and Sici and coming over for Christmas day.” Steve explained
“Who?” Salena asked confused “Who are Sid and Sici?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t know.” Natasha said walking down the stairs, presents in her hands.
“No i don’t. Who are they?” Salena asked
“I thought i told you.”Steve said looking at her expression
“Tell me what?”
“Mom got remarried.” Natasha stated
“And Sid and Sici are her daughters. Well her other daughters.” Steve added
“When did she get married? Why weren’t we invited to the wedding?” Salena asked
“When she went to England for the Computer Convention. His name was Dave.” Steve told her
“What do you mean was?” wondered Salena
“They got divorced not long after they got married. Sid and Sici have been living with him in England until recently.”Steve explained emptying the bags onto the counter.
“Why didn’t she tell me?”
“She thought i told you. I guess i didn’t.” said Steve.
The next day was Christmas. Salena decided to sleep in instead of waking up early to open presents. Which she does every year.
“Salena wake up!”Lizy said biting her arm “Come on wake up. Its Christmas.”
“Go away.” Salena said pushing the cat off the bed.
“Hey.” Lizy yelled followed by a growl. “Fine then party pooper.” Lizy stalked out of the room .
Salena lay awake in her bed watching the snow that was still falling outside.
“Salena get up.” said a little girl with blonde hair.
“Go away.” Salena said
“No way.” said another little girl, only she had brown hair like Salena’s.
Salena looked at the girls. They looked exactly alike except for their hair.
“You must be Sid and Sici.” Salena said
“Yup Yup.” the blonde said “I’m Sici. She’s Sid.” pointing to the brunet.
The to girls ran up to the bed and climbed on and started jumping.
“Get up! Get up!”they said together.
“Get lost!!” Salena said throwing a pillow at them.
Sid and Sici jumped off the bed and ran out of the room.
“Well that was mean.” Oryan said crossing his arms.
“How many time do i have to say this? Get out.” Salena said angrily
Oryan went over to the side of the bed and pulled Salena out of the bed. “Come on. Your going down stairs if i have to carry you.”
“Put me down!”Salena said jumping out of his arms “Why won’t you leave me alone?”
“This is a time to be with family and that what your going to do. Now lets go.” He said grabbing her arm.
Once downstairs Salena saw that everyone was in the living room opening presents.
“Glad you could join us.” Morgan said cheerfully
Salena didn’t say anything. She sat down on the floor next to Star and watched out the window
“Well aren’t you going to open your presents?” Star asked
“No.” Salena said
Natasha looked at salena. “Are you ok? Usually you love Christmas day.”
“I’m fine. I just don’t want to.”
Sid walked over to Salena and sat down next to her.
“Merry Christmas.” she said
Salena looked at her.~* I know this girl. I’ve seen her before, but who is she*~ she thought to herself. Salena watched her walk over to Sici and watched them play with their new toys.~*They sure are cute.*~
Oryan walked over to Salena and sat next to her. “So are you done be a brat?”
“Maybe. For now.”Salena said reproachfully
“Good enough for me.” he said “Oh i got you something.” He reached over under the tree and pulled out a small box and handed it to Salena. “Merry Christmas.”
“Thanks. Here’s yours.” she replied reaching over to a box raped in blue paper.
Salena opened the small box and moved the tissue paper and found a small star necklace on a gold chain. The star looked to be real crystal.
“Thank you. It’s beautiful.” she said with gratitude.
When she put it on its color changed from clear to soft white, without Salena knowing.
Salena watched him open his gift. It was a picture of his family in a cherry wood frame. On the bottom of the frame was engraved Eternal Night, Eternal Love. In the picture Oryan’s mom had brown hair and blue eyes, his father had dirty blonde hair and green eyes (like Oryan) and his little sister had brown hair and blue eyes like her mom. Salena looked at Oryan. His eyes were full of sorrow. He looked at Salena and smiled.
“Thank you. I love it.” he said and then he kissed her forehead.
Later the evening Salena was in the living room with Star and Lizy when she over heard her parents talking in the kitchen.
“Steve are you sure we’re doing the right thing?” Morgan asked
“What do you mean?”he asked
“I mean seeing each other again? It might be weird for the girls and it didn’t work out once before.” she said
“I think the girls will be thrilled. We only separated because we knew we had to. We knew the Natasha would be getting her powers soon and we couldn’t stay together for fear that if we did both Natasha and Salena might not have had the chance to get to be the sailor scout the are destined to be. You know our ways. We couldn’t risk getting the girls mixed up in this stuff before they were scouts, especially now when we haven’t found the princess and we don’t know if Salena really is or not. We even said that once the girls got their scout powers we would get back together.” Steve whispered
Salena turned her head to listen to what they were saying better.
“I can’t hear them anymore.” Salena said disappointed
“You shouldn’t be listening to their conversations anyway. It’s rude.” Star commented
“Fine. I’ll be up stairs.” said Salena walking away from the cats.

The next day.
Salena’s downstairs eating breakfast when she saw her mom walk down the stairs toward her.
“What are you still doing here?” she asked curiously
“We got snowed in so we had to stay here. The girls are upstairs with Natasha.” Morgan replied
“Oh.”Salena said “So what are your plans for today?”
“Your father and I got invited to a party tonight. Natasha offered to watch the girls.” Morgan said
“Are you and dad getting back together?” Salena wondered aloud
Morgan looked surprised “Well we’ve talked about it. We both want to but we don’t know it we should.”
“Why not. I think it would be cool.” Salena lied
“You do? That’s wonderful. We aren’t sure if it would be the right thing to do.”Morgan began “What with everything that has happened and changed.”
“You mean Sid and Sici, right?” Salena said looking as though her food was remotely interesting
“Not only that. A lot has changed. Both you and Natasha are scouts now, Oryan lives with you, your in high school. I’ve missed a lot since I left. I never really kept in touch. Letters and presents now and then don’t cut it for me.” her mom said “I, and your father agrees with me, believe that I should be around more. You’ll be able to get to know Sid and Sici and maybe we’ll be able to be a family again.”
“Maybe I don’t want to be in this family any more.” Salena said leaving the room.

Later that evening. Salena and Oryan were getting ready to leave.
“Where are you two off to?” Steve asked
“We’re going to a Café.” Oryan said pulling on his coat
“Which Café?” Morgan asked
“Cherry Blossom Café. It’s not far from our school.” Salena answered.
Sitting in the Café, Salena and Oryan were talking.
“So. What was with you yesterday?” he asked
“I don’t know.” Salena replied “I don’t trust Sid and Sici.”
“What? Why not. There your sisters.”
“Half sisters.” she reminded him “Half. I don’t even think they are. What with everything that has happened to us. I don’t know who to trust anymore.”
“You think they might be an enemy?” Oryan asked
“I don’t know.” she said looking at her necklace. “So where did you get this?”
“I saw it while i was in America. Thought of you the moment i saw it.” he said “Why do you ask?”
“I was just wondering. It’s beautiful.” Salena said joyfully
Just then the crystal began to glow a soft white light.
“What’s happening to it?” Salena asked
“I don’t know.” Oryan said looking around to see if anyone else noticed it “I think we should leave.”
Salena and Oryan left the Café and walked over to the empty school. Salena took off the necklace and examined it more closely.
“It looks like a normal crystal. Though I don’t think it is.” she said looking at Oryan.
Oryan didn’t know what to say.
“Eel Electric Shock!” Water yelled floating above the school.
Oryan shoved Salena to the ground. They both looked up and saw water ready to attack again.
“So child. Ready to surrender?” Water asked
“Surrender? No way.” Salena said getting up.
“Come on. Run.”Oryan ordered pulling her into the school court yard. “We’ve got to lose her and get some help.”
“Wait my scepter. I have it with me.”Salena said pulling it out of her purse and putting her necklace, that was still glowing, back on.
“Don’t use it unless we have to. I’m not sure if that thing is reliable.” Oryan said before he transformed into Midnight
“What do you mean reliable? It saved my life twice.” salena reminded him
“There you are.”Water said “You can’t hide from me. Eel Electric Shock!”
Midnight covered Salena with his cape blocking the attack.
“Salena go get help!” he commanded
“What! No. I can help.”Salena insisted
“No get help.”
“Fine. I better not come back and find you dead.” salena said running
“Where do you think your going?” Water said chasing Salena
Midnight jumped in front of Water to stop her from getting Salena.
“You wanted to fight. So fight me!” Midnight said “ Come on fight me.”
“Get out of my way boy. This doesn’t concern you, only the princess. Now get lost.”Water commanded
Midnight seized Waters arm and threw her against the school.
“What do you mean Princess?” he said grasping her throat.
“You mean you don’t know?” she answered with an evil grin “Your girlfriend is the Princess of Light.”
“Your lying! She would have told me.”
“Would she now?” Water said
“Star Shower Evolution!” Shooting Star yelled running toward the fight “You need help?”
“Bout damn time.” Midnight said
“Where is the princess?” Water said “Or don’t you know either?”
“What princess? Know what?” Shooting Star asked puzzled
“She thinks Salena is the Princess of Light.”Midnight confirmed
“Scepter Power!!” Salena shouted pointing the scepter at Water
Water pushed midnight out of her way and ran behind a tree “ Your stupid tricks won’t work on me like they did Wind and Earth. I know to deflect your puny scepter.”
“Why don’t you just shove off?” Salena yelled
“Why didn’t you tell your little friend about being the princess of Light?” Water taunted from behind her tree
“I’m not the stupid Princess!” Salena said angrily
Water walked out from behind the tree “Really? Then how can you use that scepter?”
“Scepter Power!!”Salena yelled aiming at Water “I’m not the princess!”
Before the attack hit water, she escaped into a black hole that formed next to her.
Midnight and Shooting Star both stared at Salena, not know if she were right or if Water was. They both changed back into there normal clothes, still not saying anything.

Back in the Sister Witches hide out.
“So you didn’t die. That’s a good thing.” Fire said looking up as water appeared
“No i didn’t.” Water exclaimed “Why? Were you hoping i would?”
“Not really.” Fire stated “Any news we didn’t already know?”
“The princess didn’t even tell the scouts who she was. They were clueless.” Water confirmed
“Interesting. Kensi will be pleased.” Fire said “It’s about time we got news before the stupid scouts did.”
