My Bigger Sis
We each must have our place in life,
and in the family.
First born, second, and finally third,
sisters numbering three.
I've written about my baby sis
and times I've missed with her.
And now about my bigger sis
and the feelings that will stir.
"We've come a long way" as they say,
from bottom to the top.
If someone were in the market for her,
with me there'd be no swap.
You see, though she is harsh at times
and very set in her ways,
her heart and loyalties lie in one place,
and that's with family - always!
The fear I had of her when young
would cause me quite a fret.
But now if I feel sad or hurt,
I'd turn to her - no sweat!
For now I know that she's concerned
and she'll do all that she can do
to brighten up my day again
and to help me see it through.
