| Psychological Evaluation - October 31st, 2001 | This was just the intake process, I have my next appointment 11/16/01 |
| Physical with family doctor - November 2nd, 2001 | My Physical went very well. My doctor is so supportive of this surgery which, makes the experience more comforting to me. I am waiting for the blood test to come back. My iron levels have been real low. This is the only thing that will cause problems. |
| Talk Therapy - November 7th, 2001 | My chat went well. It was the first appointment. I will be seeing her every 2 weeks. |
| Psyche Evaluation-November 13th, 2001 | I had my psyche evaluation today and I passed with flying colors. The doctor is going to put the letter together to let the insurance company know that I am ready for this surgery! WAHOO!!! |
| My 1st WLS Group - November 15th, 2001 | Tonight I went to my 1st WLS support group. What a great experience. It was so great meeting people that actually had the surgery and how excellent the look and feel. I plan on attending once a month. |
| Hematologist - November 19th, 2001 | I went to see Dr. Hoesley today. His finding is that I need IRON. So starting today, I will be faithful in taking my iron pills. I will see him again in 4 weeks. |
| Another New Doctor...Dr. William Sweet. My 1st appt is 11/26/01 | I decided to switch Doctors due to the travel time. Dr. Kamelgard who is a wonderful person!! His office is in Newark New Jersey. It was 2 1/2 hrs away. I now have found a Doctor in Reading who is 40 mins away. I worried about if I would have complication, the travel time. |

Well it took me a little over 1 hr to get to the Reading Hospital. The ride was a nice one. I felt very confident going into the interview. Jane was very nice and we had a good conversation. I passed the interview and now I have my schedule interview with Dr. Sweet in February. I can't believe that it's going to take that long, but I will be patient and wait my turn. |
| Appointment with Dr. Sweet - December 18, 2001 | Well, I finally had the pleasure of meeting Dr. William Sweet. First of all, I was late for my appointment (and he wasn't too happy about that). Well talked about "why" I want this surgery, how I found him and why I had family problems. He requested a psychological evaluation AGAIN..even thought I had one 11-13-01. I called up the psycho doctors office and asked them to fax over his findings to Dr. Sweet. He also requested that I get another eco cardiogram. I had this done in May of this year. So I called up my heart doctor and they faxed that over to Dr. Sweet. The last thing I need to do, is try to loose 12lbs by Jan 8th. I am going to do my best and I will eat lots of protein. I am hoping when I see Dr. Sweet on Jan 8th that he gives me a surgery date. I am almost there and will start the new year off with the new me. |
| Attended Meeting at the Reading Hospital - Ask the Doc - Dr. Sweet | I attended my first meeting in Reading at the hospital. It was so amazing to see all the people who attended. The success stories are so encouraging how well this tool works. It is important to me that I try my best to follow up with all programs and meetings that are offered. This will help me so much with my success in my weight loss. |
| My next appointment with Dr. Sweet - January 8th @8:30am | My appointment went great. I lost 10lbs and Dr. Sweet gave me a surgery date for April 5th. It seems so far away, but it's right around the corner. |
