Coming hot after the annoucement of the affliation with NNHL, the Hockey Mad Minor League announces its 10 expansion franchises.


In the Eastern conference the teams are: Ottawa 67's, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Maine Panthers and Quebec Hurricanes.


In the Western conference the teams are: Vancouver Sharks, Edmonton Eagles, Portland Ducks, Minnesota Tigers and Whitehorse Avalanche.

After weeks of talks, HMML has announced that it will become the top-minor league for the NNHL.

The league is broken into two Conferences: Eastern & Western, both conferences will each have 5 teams

The ten team league consists of players not drafted by NNHL. All extra players created to make up the numbers are not allowed to be signed
