SKOPELOS NATURIST BEACHES
Velanio Beach

On walking distance of Stafilos beach (east of the island) is the official naturist beach of Velonia. It is a great sandbeach surrounded by a pine tree forest. You can reach Velonia by a path that leads from Stafilos beach. It is not so touristically developped and it is divided in a part where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds and a part where you just put your towel in the sand. The part of the beach behind the rocks is mostly and officially a naturist beach. The smaller bays and beaches behind the beach of Panormos are, outside the high season, also regularly used by naturists. The southern side of Milia beach and the coves on the south of it are also used as naturist beaches, just like the south part of the beach of Kastani. Depending on the season also the beach of Almyropetra is occupied by naturists, but it often goes on a 'who arrives there first". Also the next door beach of Kalives is often used by naturists. Both of these beaches (Kalives and Almyropetra) can be reached over the same road (that turns into a dirt track as you get closer to the beaches). They are situated next to each other and divided into two by a large rock.
