Travel to the island of Hydra or Idra in the Saronic Gulf in Greece

The island of Hydra has no airport of its own. The nearest airport for Hydra is in Athens, where you go to the port of Piraeus and take a ferry to the island of Hydra. The journey from Piraeus to Hydra takes about three to four hours and usually there are two ferries a day from Piraeus that direction. The island of Hydra also has connections to other islands like Poros, Spetses and Aegina and to the Methana peninsula in the Peloponnese. If you want to know the times for the ferry boat to Hydra, you can check it on the internet. If you can not find it it could be that the schedules have not been released yet, in which case you can try again later.
