crete car rental

When you visit Crete you MUST rent a bike or a car, because if you don't you are missing out on a lot. The island is so beautiful and large that you just have to explore it. The last couple of years we have rented our car at Auto Travel. They offer full insurance with no own risk, and there is a supplement insurance for tires, wheels and glass (3 per day) that you can take if you want to. The price includes one additional driver. They are quite cheap, offer lots of different cars and respond quickly to e-mails (English, German, Dutch).

The payment can be made:
1) when booking with credit card or paypal
2) upon arrival in cash (3% discount) or by credit card

You will be met at the exit of the airport by someone holding a sign with your name on it and this person will take you to the the parking lot where the car is. In Heraklion they have private parking at the airport, in Chania they work together with Stavros Parking. Here you can leave the car at the end of the holiday. This car park is about 200 meters from the airport and there is a free shuttle bus between the parking and the airport (but you could actually walk if you want, because it is not that far).

After you have booked or inquired you will receive an e-mail with the possibilities and once you have made a booking you receive a booking confirmation with an explanation of how to get the car.

If you want you can also inquire if and what kind of car or bike they would have for you in a certain period, or you can click on the picture to go to their website. Also if the destination where you want to pick up you car is not on the list you can write them to inquire. It is easiest to just send them an e-mail telling them on what dates you are going to be there, where you want to pick up and leave the car, at what time approximately (maybe including flight numbers if you have those) and what kind of car you would like to have.
