The village of Asimi in Crete

Asimi is a mostly agricultural village on the north side of green and fertile the Messara Plain, situated between Pirgos and Agii Deka, in the south of the island of Crete. Tourism is as good as unknown here. It's a vibrant yet traditional little village, and every minute you will see a tracktor going down the main road. There are old stone houses, shops, vegetable fields and small tavernas where the locals gather for a cup of Greek Greek coffee and a talk.
The large white village church is dominantly present.
