The village of Agatia or Agathia in Crete

Agathia or Agatia is a beautiful small traditional village a kilometer or so east of Palekastro in the north east of the island of Crete. It is situated not far from the sea and it is close to a beautiful beach (Rizovigio). In the area there are several other beaches to be found, like for instance the palm beach of Vai. Some of the beaches are popular with windsurfers. Agathia consists mainly of small old white washed houses and the cutest building in the village is (as you might have guessed) the church.
