The picture above is from Fulham's first game back at Craven Cottage for 2 years and is taken from the Riverside stand. This friendly match against Watford would have been quickly forgotten had the referee not gone home in a huff at half time. The game was abandoned as a nil nil draw at half time and the second half continued as an exhibition game. The referee Mr.P Walton was replaced by one of his linesmen as he didn't want to fall foul of Fifa's new 6 substitute rule for friendly matches introduced at the begining of July. Fulham Fc had decided to challenge this new 6 sub rule and appealed to fans of all religions/tribes clubs to back them in their fight with the FA and Fifa.Once again little Fulham Fc played their part in football history when Fifa withdrew the 6 substitute rule for all club friendlies. The rule still applies to International friendlies. WELL DONE FULHAM FC.
