The song you hear is me playing the bass guitar. Hit ESC to stop the music that you hear from the page loading. And here are some links to some other sound files of me and my bass. Anyone want to adopt an out of work bassist? I don't eat much!

And this was sent to my e-mail today . . .

LIFE AND A CAN OF BEER

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items
in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up
a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it
with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them
into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into
the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table
and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the
empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you
to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children,
your health, your friends, your favorite passions--things that if
everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house,
your car.

The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar
first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small
stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with
your children.

Take time to get medical checkups.

Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18.

There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer
represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."

Been a slow weekend. Hmmm? That's it. Nothing else but slow. Oh! I did put the 12 strings back on the acoustic. Sounds nice. Ok! All done now. Peace!

Good movie here!

Every once in awhile you run across a very smart person who misuses thier ability to take advantage of those people around them at the expense of the others around him. I do believe that those who manipulate others in this way do a very good job at it and make it nearly impossible to debate anything they say. Just say nothing. Live your life the way you always have and let them hang themselves. Even the biggest, brightest, clearest mirrage tastes like sand when used to quench the thirst of the all seeking man.

Last night I had sex with three beautiful college girls while a bar full of patrons watched and cheered on! I thought that would be a good lead! Let me tell you how it started:

You see this is Christmas time. And Christmas always means one thing to me. Family! It may be that I only ever really contact my family during this time of year, or at least that's how the past few years have been (refer to previous post). Or maybe that when December hits that I start to think about my ex and her two children and I miss them. But no matter what it is, I think of family. Sometimes I just reflect on things that have been done for me in the past by family and friends that I consider family now and it brings a tear to my eye. The past few hazed-over years I have been trying to prove that love is extinct and had that theory shot down by the actions of someone I now love every time. I am in no position to do what is deserved by everyone in my family, both the old and the new families included, you all know who you are, the ones I am talking to. Know that everything you have ever done for me is appreciated, and that I may not have a lot to give, but if I could I would lay down my very life for each one of you, again and again.

Now how does that match the title of this passage? It doesn’t! It just goes with the theory that you have to grab them from the start if you want to be heard. Happy Holidays!
