Balloon Fight Description: This is a fun game that involves flying around and trying to pop other people's balloons, so they'll fall. It's an unusual one, but what else do you expect from Nintendo?

Bionic Commando Description: Bionic Commando is a great game. You play as a guy with cool sunglasses and a bazooka-looking thing, who cannot jump. But he can do something better; he grapples onto ceilings and walls. It's one of my favorite NES games.

Castlevania Description: Well, Castlevania is located on most of the top ten lists you can ever find on the internet, but I never really got into it. Still, though, here it is. It's a pretty good game nonetheless, just it's a bit hard to get started into it.

Conan Description: This game isn't really here because it's a popular download choice, but instead, it's here because it's called "Conan". I just thought that was a pretty cool coincidence, that there was a game called "Conan", although this game is pronounced "Coh-nahn" rather than my site's name, pronounced "Coh-nin". Try it if you want.

Contra Description: Contra is one of the best shooter games on the NES, if not the best. You must shoot your way through the levels, and what I like is that hitting certain things will make a powerup for your weapon appear, letting it shoot faster, or more powerful, or over a wider range. It's also a good game to play two player with, even though playing two-player on a computer can get kind of annoying.

Donkey Kong Description: Donkey Kong is one of Nintendo's first games, and many consider it to be one of its best. In Donkey Kong, you play as Mario, and you try to save the Princess from Donkey Kong, picking up hammers and bonuses along the way. It's a simple game, but it's still a great one.

Donkey Kong 3 Description: Donkey Kong 3 is an entirely different game than the first. In this game, you protect your flowers from the bees and Donkey Kong. It's a bit different from other games, but it's still fun nonetheless.

Donkey Kong JR Description: Donkey Kong JR, if you ask me, was a better sequel to Donkey Kong than Donkey Kong 3. This game followed the first slightly closer than the third did, because in this game, you play as Donkey Kong JR and try to save Donkey Kong from Mario.

Fire Emblem Gaiden Description: Fire Emblem Gaiden, along with the other Fire Emblem games, was only released in Japan. I had never heard of these games until I played Super Smash Bros Melee, in which Marth and Roy are secret characters from Fire Emblem. I have no idea whether this version of the game contains Marth and Roy; I haven't gotten very far. But it's still an awesome game, and it is almost fully translated. This ROM doesn't seem to work on NESticle, but it works on RNES. I'm working on finding Fire Emblem 1-5 in English, but no luck yet...

Ice Climber Description: For anyone who has played Super Smash Bros Melee and wondered where the heck the Ice Climbers came from, this is it. On that note, anyone who has tried the "Break The Targets" challenge in SSB Melee for the Ice Climbers will instanstly recognize the gameplay. You start out on the bottom of a tall mountain, and you have to climb up, smashing the blocks above you to get up. On a side note, it is still a mystery to me why they chose the Ice Climbers to be in SSB Melee over somebody everyone had heard of.

Kirby's Adventure Description: This is a classic Kirby game. Kirby goes through the level to get to the end, and can inhale enemies and copy their powers. I'm pretty sure that this was the first Kirby game, but there were many more to come after this. Check out Kirby Superstar in the SNES section. Kirby's Adventure is one of my favorite NES games.

Mach Rider Description: Mach Rider is not considered to be one of Nintendo's best games, really, but I downloaded it because it was mentioned in SSB Melee, and I couldn't resist. The theme music in Mach Rider is the alternate music in the Big Blue stage in SSB Melee, too. In this game, you motorcycle down a road while trying to shoot at aliens. If the aliens crash into you, then you're done.

Megaman 2 Description: Megaman 2 is a big jump from Megaman 1, because in this one, you have no helmet. Plus, the bad guys are not just floor mounted. It's a pretty good one, and if you like it, there's plenty more where that came from!

Megaman 3 Description: Megaman 3 is sort of the same as Megaman 2. The basic game play is the same, but what's different is the levels you choose from. This goes for most Megaman NES games, so if you like one, try them all. Conversely, if you don't like one of them, don't bother with the rest. I'm not going to write a description for the rest of the Megaman games, because it would be basically writing the same thing over and over.
