Dr. Mando Finished his General surgical training at New York Medical College, Mount Vernon Hospital, New York . In 1986, he Completed a four-year Vascular, Thoracic and Cardiac surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. During that time, he trained and worked with Drs. Michael DeBakey, Denton Cooley, Stanley Crawford and other pioneers in the world of surgery.

Dr. Mando’s scope of experience is diverse, reflecting his training and practice background.  Special areas of interest include the following: All abdominal operations, Laparoscopic procedures, hernias, breast, thyroid, and cancer surgery. Skin lesions and grafting. In the field of vascular surgery; Aneurysms, Carotid surgeries, Aorto-iliac, and peripheral arterial bypasses. Laser treatment of varicose veins and sclerotherapy. Diabetic foot  care. All procedures for renal failure patients including grafts, catheters, fistulas, and  peritoneal dialysis catheters, in addition to many other procedures in the field surgery.

All abdominal operations including stomach, colons, small bowels, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, appendix and spleen. Breast surgery, hernias, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, skin lesions and soft tissues tumors.

- Vascular Surgery:
Aneurysms, Carotid Surgery, Aortic surgery, peripheral bypass, Laser treatment of varicose veins.Diabetic foot care. All procedures for renal failure management including grafts' insertion, fistulas, venous access and peritoneal dialysis catheters. On the panel of Total Wound Treatment Center in Kenner and in the Institute of Diabetes and Metabolism in New Orleans.

- Endovenous Laser Treatment:

Most effective and painless treatment of varicose veins using laser. Spider veins treament with injection.
