We are raising money for Heifer International (www.heifer.org), specifically trying to get a heifer for a family in Cambodia.

However, we want to not only raise money, but also talk about why families in other countries remain in this cycle of poverty, because most of the time they are not at fault for their poverty.  We will explore this through discussions, lectures from Char Grey, and student Issaac Esseku, who will talk about economic crises around the world, specifically the fair trade campaign (oxfamamerica.org)
