Due to a shortage in ‘disk space’ we may have to phase out our Completed Projects section. Instead, I will have to just put my ‘writer’s block’ on the back burner and pump you out some praise report letters! Perhaps the Lord wants me to give you guys something like my personal thanks (smile).
Well here goes!
Last year we posted a project/need for assisting a Bedouin family with their children’s schoolbooks and school trip expenses. These needs were met! God Bless you!
This was the background story we gave you: “ Here in Israel is an Arab family, who have chosen to live with the Jews and send their children to the Jewish schools. (They do not want to expose their children to the radical Islamic teaching of the Muslim clerics.)
They are having a difficult time since the father is sick and his business is in financial straits. They have 4 young children, and three are in elementary school, one in Kindergarten. They have had many extra expenses and now have received a bill for 1200 shekels for EACH child in school, in addition to the regular school year expenses for trips, computer classes etc.”
Update! Last year the doctors were discussing the removal of the father’s leg…he still has both! Last year he was about to lose his business…that’s still the same, but it’s not yet ‘belly up’! A live dog is better than a dead lion!
Since 911, you have a better understanding of the term “Radical Islamic Teachings” and perhaps appreciate more what this project is about!
This man has jeopardized the lives of his whole family simply because he doesn’t want his children taught Islam. His kids get picked on a lot, being the only 4 Arabs in the school, but that’s a ‘small price’ to pay. The ‘big price’ they’re faced with is … money for this year’s books!
Meanwhile, he's praying in Y'shua's name for a healing. His wife is praying likewise for the books, and their oldest son has excepted Y'shua as his Lord and Savior!
