Sometime about 4 A.M. her dog began to bark, which was unusual. She got up to let the dog out and a car thief was attempting to steal her car. He fled, but the damage had been done. In his haste, he ruined the starter and did a lot of damage on the wires and a few other parts. Praise the Lord! The thief did NOT succeed in stealing the car!
Used car parts are difficult to find and when they are found, they are usually from a stolen car. We do not want to perpetuate the thievery cycle of constantly stealing and selling parts. The police told her that her car is marked and the thief will be back, but we are confident that the Lord is able to preserve her vehicle. This vehicle is used for ministry as well as for the neeeds of her children. New car parts will cost about 2000 shekels (roughly $500.)plus labor(1000 shekels). This widow did not have car insurance other than the very basic required policy which covers other drivers.
