Project 009: Cost of visiting a Bedouin family

Previous Slide

Next Slide

The Bedouins live in tribes, consisting of many families all generally related by blood or marriage. There is no such thing as visiting one tiny family. Instead, you are surrounded by lots of children and adults. The children are excited to see visitors; they form a welcoming party, jumping up and down as you make your approach.

It is customary to take food or gifts along when visiting, which gets real expensive. We’re talking…45 plus people (the last Bedouin family we visited, there were 26 children, not counting adults).

Being invited to a Bedouin’s home is not only a great honor, it is a major breakthrough, full of potentialities and opportunities for us to share the Gospel. Prior to now, it would be impossible to visit the Bedouin families frequently due to the costs; we’ve had to turn down invitations.

But, by posting these visitations as a project, you and others may view this as a worthwhile case and contribute to the cost.

Note: There are 3 to 4 of use willing to go into Arabrabic villages and bring the Gospel to a Bedouin family if we get the nessacery finances. Otherwise, we can only do so once or twice a year.

$100.00 US dollars per monthly visit (for food, toiletries, gifts)

Apr, May, Jun 2002 …..Balance $300.00
