This building may look like a dump but when we saw it, we knew in our spirit that this was the place! It’s located in the industrial area of town, way off the beaten path. The only time you see people around is on Monday when the ‘shuk’ is open, sort of like a flea market.
There are a few stores in this area but they are hurting for business! More than half the little store fronts have folded up.
Shabbat Service: Our congregation is quickly outgrowing Polly’s living-room. We could move service to the building! Also, the Russian and the Hebrew speaking congregations may choose to meet there too! Wow, just imagine…3 services in one day!
Free Bibles and Books: We can have a book rack or shelves full of Bibles and testimonial books, free for the taking.
Chess Club: At least 50 guys play chess, dominos, and cards under a tree! The building will provide a roof over their heads, decent tables, chairs, and sets to play with.
Outdoor Gospel Concerts: We can have weekly, nightly, whatever…live music right outside the facility.
Bible Study, Tutoring (math, whatever…), AA & NA meetings, soup kitchen, chess tournaments, etc. etc. The possibilities are endless!
