Hospitality

Living in Israel means hosting a lot of people, such as visiting ministers, or friends from other parts of the world, or people who need a quiet place to stay for a few days to recuperate spiritually. Hospitality is a way of life for believers here. My house is open to whomever the Lord brings my way, and Polly also feels the same way and hosts many travelers & visiting ministers.

This year I have hosted the following: A couple from Haifa who needed a respite from their daily ministry; A young couple from Jerusalem on vacation; a minister from the U.S.; a friend from Australia who was traveling the Land; a couple from Zichron Yaakov who were visiting family and friends in Arad; a friend from the U.S.; a minister and his wife on their first trip to Israel, and others.

My house is a Hospitality House. It has two guest rooms and is located on the western edge of town with a view of the desert. At the present time, I rent this house, but my landlord wants to sell it so eventually I will have to find another place to move. I would appreciate your prayers concerning this; perhaps for the finances to buy it, or for another equally-suitable place to be a Hospitality House for the Lord!

All guests are invited to participate in the Prayer, Praise and Teaching sessions of the Congregation! It is not only a joy to host others, it is a Scriptural injunction! (3 John 5-8)
