I was trying to sleep but couldn’t because of a toothache from out of the blue. The more I prayed the worse it seemed to get. I was thinking “Poor Lura, she probably thinks I’m tossing and turning because I’m still thinking about the 2 tires that were slashed during the day.” Finally I told her about this strange toothache, and asked if some warm salt/water might help. Lura said, “It might” and would be right back.
Ever since the attempted van theft, when we enter the kitchen, if it’s dark we peek out the window first, eyeballing the van prior to cutting on the light. This time, being 1:30 a.m. and me having a toothache, Lura went straight for the light switch. Heading for the sink, which is right under our window, Lura saw someone on the side of the van duck down. He made his way behind it and than crossed the street. When he got to the corner, Lura recognized him under the streetlight, just before he disappeared around the turn. He was the same guy who threatened us.
Lura yells, “Eddie, the same guy is out here!”
I quickly got dressed, Lura pointed to the corner, and I took out a running. When I reached the corner he was a good block ahead of me. He started running and the chase was on. He dashed around another corner and was out of my view. When I rounded the corner I was surprised to find myself on a dirt path with bushes on both sides, and several ways he could have gone. That was where I lost him.
As you can see, we have really been using the van for God’s glory. Satan hates all us Christians. I think he hates those who love the Jews a little more than those who don’t have a clue. Satan also hates the land of Israel more than any other piece of real estate on earth.
Doing what we do drives satan plumb mad. Think we have made it to his hit list! Is it no wonder that the van was attacked! After painting over “Satan Bless you”, 666 and vulgarity on the children’s playground walls…count it not strange when the demons responsible for these deeds show up at your door.
Now instead of having just 2 sliced tires on the van, we now have 4. Plus 4 sliced tires on the small car. Not to mention the spray paint damage.
The Good News: 1. The toothache is gone. 2. Lura can make a positive ID.
