Since the robbery attempt on the van, as one of our many precautions, we use the little car to barricade the van in the driveway. But this morning we received a phone call from Polly (widow with 3 sons). Her car wouldn’t start and she needed a jump. Not wanting to jump her car with the new van, unless having to, I decided to use the little car. Broad daylight, 30 minutes, what could go wrong? So Lura accompanied me.
We weren’t thinking about the Orthodox guy who paid us a visit last Friday. I was napping at the time and only later found out, after the fact, that he had threatened us. That he and the group he represents know where we live and we better stop spreading the Gospel of Jesus or the next visit would not be about talk!
This is some serious stuff. Some of these sects are extremists: rigging up mailbox bombs, torching houses, and throwing bricks through windows, etc.
We also weren’t thinking about the ramification of last night’s Jesus Video Project.
Upon returning home we noticed the damage. Both tires on the right side of Yesuha’s Van had been slashed. Also the same Orthodox guy who threatened us was spotted snooping around, by one of our neighbors.
