Preparing the Way #001

This and similar type satanic graffiti has been brought to the officials of Arad’s attention for over a year now. It’s been talked about in the streets and read about in the papers. Comments ranging from “It’s only words” to “We don’t like it but what can we do?”

Amichai, born in Israel - raised in USA, is on a “Mission for God” as I write. God instructed him to travel all over Israel, including it’s boarders…blowing a shofar (ram’s horn). The sound of the shofar gives satan major flashbacks and terrible visions of the future.

While passing through Arad, Amichai visited with his dear friend and pen pal Rebeka, a member of our congregation. Rebeka shared with him about the satanic graffiti and our plans of doing something about it.

You see, we had made a list of materials needed, took pictures, found out our point of contact, and were in process of setting up a meeting to get authorization, permission, etc.

I guest Amichai must have figured, he’s a child of God, with authority vested in him through Jesus Christ, and did not need man’s permission in this matter. Perhaps a ‘righteous anger’ thing came over him. Whatever Amichai simply purchased a can of white spray paint and was going to make things right.

Amichai and Rebeka bumped into Lura and me just after purchasing the spray paint and while still in the mall. Telling us their plan and I said, “Let me get the camera!”

Lura and I always try to do the right thing. In this case “What was right?” “What would Jesus have done?” "What would you have done?”

When we got on location and Amichai seen the graffiti first hand he snapped into action. He instructed Lura, Rebeka, and me to hold hands while he prayed judgement upon satan and his imps. Next he began dancing around the area, chanting Yeshua’s name over and over. Then he blew the shofar, at which time a group of curious teenagers had gathered around and we fully explained.

The spray paint didn’t cover the bright red in one application, and Amichai had to hit the road heading north/east. We gave him our prayers, a bunch of bibles, tracts and books to pass out, assuring him that we would complete the paint job.

Amichai will be driving back through here in a week or so. I’m anxious to know how he made out with the bibles and books that we gave him. And I'm sure he's anxious to know how the cover up, I mean ‘paint job’ went (smile).

P.S. It took 3 coats to cover!
