Today, a man from Aqua Jaba refugee camp (diagnosed with scitzephenia) who we prayed for the other night and saw a change come over him, as he said he felt better. He brought back two other men with him. One who did not speak English was suffering with prostrate disease and looked sick. The men asked if I could pray for him, and this surprised me. I took the Gospel out and they immediately ask if I had Bibles so they could follow in Arabic. Another pleasant surprise, and the man read out of Matthew 8 in Arabic. I told him the Lord had said “I Am willing” and the voice was still speaking and willing. Then Mark 16.15-20 A sign of the believer is that he will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover. The Lord had me announce the Kingdom of God is near. Then we spoke, we were all waiting on Jesus Christ to return, to bring judgment on the enemies of righteousness. (The Muslims believe Jesus is returning also). The Lord had me declare He is alive and here now, and will destroy this spirit of premature death that had this man. The man told his friends in Arabic who then told me, he feels it leaving his body. Then his friends said “You are shiny as the presence of the Lord poured over him to melt the wicked” The man was beaming with light. They took bibles, gospel tracts and please pray the salvation seeds come to full fruit. I boldly ask him to let people know it is Jesus Christ who released His healing power, when he gets the good report from the doctor.
Tonight we had a young girl come with a disease like leprosy, incurable on her foot. As we anointed her and prayed over her foot, the Holy Spirit touched her and her mother, who wants to visit in two days. I expected her foot to be healed immediately (Matt 8.1-3) but then Lord had me give her some prayed over anointing oil in a bottle and told me to tell the mother to anoint her daughters feet with it. Then He spoke through me and said to tell her, as she anoints her daughters feet in faith, the Lord will heal her. The Lord is ministering faith here.
At 5:00-7:30 lots of kids are coming with homework for help with their English. Then two more visitors came, one of them, because he heard we were helping the children and wanted to meet us and thank us for being here in the camp. We used some of your donations to buy more food to hand out, plastic tables and chairs for the people to sit on, screen for the windows (praise God), which Glen is making), and some paint which Glen and Petra are going to use on the walls. Many ask what we need funding for: Here it is: Full Arabic Bibles, some compensation for a Christian brother, Palestinian man named Suhiel who speaks Arabic and English. Suhiel is without work and helping us with the children (a must for the ministry), more food (food finances could be un-limited) as they come from both camps and Jericho to get food. We also have adult men and women who want to learn English and materials are really needed at all levels. We are praying for funding also for foundational discipleship Bible study, support for the volunteers that are here and may come with no money, finances for everything including the mission house (rent, dressers, construction materials, and ect.). We could use clothes and shoes for the children and many mothers are pleading for book bags, now that school has started. The book bags are expensive, but we did distribute some, along with shoes. In the refugee camp everything is needed. They go through our trash looking for things that they can use. We have made a wonderful connection with a young boy from peace supermarket at the camp who is really trying to give us a discount on bulk oil, rice, sugar, and noodles. He told me tonight people in the camp owe him 150,000 shekels from store credits. Many ask me why the UN does not feed them. In this camp, they say the UN come every 3 or 4 months and give them sugar, rice, flour and oil, ect. The people say the flour has bugs and enough is not given for the family to last but a few weeks. We see in the shops oil bottles and food marked UN being sold, not given away. Many people are without UN cards do not qualify anyway. The mission is to find those with no electric, furniture, food, or clothing and bring the good news of the Gospel and aid to them. Some are at very dangerous levels of poverty and are watching their children suffer.
The Lord has promised to pour out compassion in this land as He has chosen this entrance gate at Jericho. He can change the hearts of the people and has really encouraged us with His power, presence, visions, and great compassion for these people. The goodness of the Lord leads to repentance. Romans 2.4 Please pray for the one monk in the Mount of Temptations (temporarily closed) monastery, the Wisdom to shepherd Gods people, the power of His Spirit to use the authority the Lord has released to us in this region, salvation wells to continue to open by His Holy Spirit and for His glorious NAME to be glorified We are so grateful to God to bless us with so much anointing and His power to heal the people and the land. Thank you Lord for praying saints who are standing with us in the Holy Spirit and thank you Lord for seeds being sown into your mission in Jericho.
