Dear
lura_eddie@hotmail.com,
This is just a quick note to let you know that Ami's ear surgery has been
postponed for a week or two - the reason? The surgeon saw him today and
he said that the hole is large (relatively) that has to be covered by the
graft, and it will take about an hour and a half. He said that it is
very difficult to keep your head still for that long, and so it is preferable
that they use general anesthesia, instead of local. So, it will be a
two day deal instead of an outpatient operation, and he'll have to be
admitted.
We found out that the recovery from the ear drum graft will entail one week
resting at home. At the end of that week, we have to go back for a
check up, and something that was placed in the ear will be removed.
After 3 weeks, he'll go back for a hearing test and we'll know if the graft
"took". Also, for 3 weeks he'll have bandages in his ear - so'll he'll only be able to hear from the left ear which
has partial hearing as well. Please pray for healing for the left ear drum, and the right as well since we now have a few more
weeks and we've been believing for a miracle. We're going with the flow
- the Lord knows and all is in His hands.
Ami will still have the surgery on his left palm to remove the shrapnel on
Nov. 26th, God willing!!
