Dietrich is a young man from Germany who saved up his money to come to Israel and help me and Lura for 3 months.
Well, I had to make a run up north and took him with me. While doing so, we stopped off at the baptismal site on the Jordan, this side of Tiberias.
Man, thatís where the fish are! We saw lots of St. Peter fish and catfish!
Legend has it, that the so called St. Peter fish was the only fish in the Galilee with a mouth big enough to hold a Roman coin, back in the day.
Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. KJV
We were at the baptismal site first thing in the morning and Dietrich was able to go for a little swim before the crowds arrived.
