Restoration Overview!

We hired a lawyer who wanted $3,000.00 up-front for processing and filing fees. He strongly suggested that we get an appraiser, which cost us another $520.00 cash. With $900.00 storefront rent due on the 15th we had to rob Peter to pay Paul, to make ends meet. Bottom-line we can use some money ASAP (as soon as possible).

Meanwhile we have to do something about our open front window! Replacing the window and window frame will cost 1,100 shekels ($244.44). Then we would need to install steel shutters.

I looked at 3 types of shutters, each secured by padlocks. Considering the problems we are having (not thief but vandalism) I figure all we need is a wielded steel plate instead of a window and shutter. So I’m trying to get an estimate and have that taken care of ASAP (also a plate of steel on rear outside wall). We will also be replacing the front and back doors.

This week I will attempt to replace the bathroom sink faucet with one that has threads, so as to connect a hose for a major wash down cleaning. We’ve been contemplating purchasing a ‘high pressure washer ‘for applying a nice thorough soapy water wash down. I think it’s what we need to remove all the soot from the walls and tables. Plus, it can be used by other congregations if ever needed. Cost 900 shekels ($200.00). There’s no ‘Easy Rentals’ here, like you have in the US.

Once the wash down is completed, think I’ll frame the walls, run wiring: (outlets, sockets, light fixtures), hang sheet-rock, install drop-ceiling, and paint. Also, we need to replace heater/air-conditioner unit, cabinets, bookcases, hot/cold water dispenser, and need more chairs.

I will be submitting a balance sheet with each Restoration Update report so you can see how we’re progressing and exactly were stand.
