Shalom Dear brothers and sister in Yeshua,

Racheli and I wanted to share with you about our visit with Leah-(Ami's mom) and progress on Ami. First of all we give glory, praise and honor at the Lord's mercy and faithfulness in using this for His glory as this is just the beginning. I am sure that there will be many difficult times ahead for all of us as believers and especially those that serve under such a stressful atmosphere in Israel. The Bible promises it!

We just returned from our visit at the hospital in Petach Tikveh.(Here was our experience)

It started off with with asking at information about the family and their location, as we assumed them to still be in Intensive care. To our great surprise and joy they said Ami was on a regular floor.(less than 24 hours before this day) This was already a positive sign and praise. So, as we arrived to the unit, with out even asking which room, at the nursing station, I saw a women standing a few meters away from me outside of the room with her sons and asked, are you Leah? She said yes, and we identified ourselves as believers in Yeshua from Beit Asaph congregation in Netanya and Beth Sar Shalom-CPM, Jerusalem. Leah, then took us out to a sitting area, where we discussed the current situation. The first thing she said was, " he is awake, talking and detoxing from the heavy sedatives that were needed to do all the procedures, surgeries etc. as well to take away the physical pain. She said, he was also hallucinating and making statements that didn't make sense".

I told her that all that is completely normal. She said, how do you know? Being, that I am a nurse, not only that, a psychiatric nurse and drug and alcohol counselor. She was so relieved to know that I understand and gave her clarity as to what was happening. I saw these actions/behaviors of Ami's again, as miracles of God, to think that God carried him and protected him to this point and that at this stage in his recovery, basically, any behavior is normal for most post trauma victims of this nature, let alone what he went through. So, we then spent the rest of our short time together encouraging Leah, Ami's mom. (David, Ami's father) was taking a nap at the time, which he probably hadn't had any sleep in days. We prayed for her and the family and I told her how this really challenges all of us to be diligent in our walk and service unto Yeshua and being a light for Him through our lives. We had the privilege to be with her alone as there were no other visitors at that time. I also was able to offer myself, to do any private duty nursing shifts, to relieve the family to get rest or do errands. God knows what He will do from here.

So, without talking your ear off, as I am sure you are getting many other reports besides ours. Just wanted to give you a personal experience. I will list a few items below for prayer. May it also be known that the Ortiz family are blessed to have a new one month old grand baby. :-)

1.-Please pray for the recovery process of a surgery that was had this morning to remove pieces from the explosion from his eye.

2.-Pray for detox from sedatives and pain meds that all side affects disappear and he come back to himself and reality.

3.Pray that there will be a miraculous healing emotionally, physically and spiritually from all this evil trauma.

4.Pray for the family, for their continued health and strength after this traumatic experience and that this will draw the body of Messianic Believers in Israel closer in unity and strength to be a light for Yeshua in these evil times.

5.Pray for continued progress in the investigation and capture(they have some good leads) of this animal/s that would do such an act, that this tool for the enemy, would come to Yeshua and that this would bring much attention to Yeshua and the growing, living and breathing Messianic Movement in Israel and the world.

Blessings to all of you and thank you so much for your prayers and for standing with us during these times as we strive to be a light to the helpless and hopeless in Israel with the life changing message of Yeshua.

Brian, Racheli and all the kids.
