     William Edward Glover was the son of Joseph Thomas Glover and Sarah Ann Sweeting. William Edward Glover was born on 8 November 1853 at Nailsworth Avening, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He married Louisa Ann Ford, daughter of Sarah Ford, in 1881 at St Vincent, West Indies. William Edward Glover married Celia Frances Witt, daughter of Thomas Henry Witt and Elizabeth Anne Morgan, on 7 January 1901 at Richmond, Victoria, Australia.^2,3 William Edward Glover died on 25 June 1932 at Gisborne, New Zealand, at age 78.^4,5 He was buried on 26 June 1932 at Taruheru Cemetery, Gisborne, New Zealand.⁴
     He was a draper/mercer. He obituary in Gisborne Herald noted: 20 years in St Vincent, West Indies; ran a mercery business in Gladstone Road; Survived by children and wife as noted; also survived by a brother and sister in England. He gave his 'usual address' as Marlboro, Wilts., on Marriage certificate in 1901.⁵
