How will I know the money is being spent as I intended?Mara and Freely are only seeking the assistance that they need. They are not asking for you to give any funds directly to them. Your Sponsorship gift can be given directly where you want it to go or you can purchase items and give them the needed items. This is explained clearly later on this page.
How do I know that Freely really is in training to be a Service Dog and Mara really has Disabilities?
Mara is able to provide potential sponsors with medical documentation of her need for a Service Dog, as well as proof that Freely is indeed training to be her Service Dog. She is on Disability and has proof that her income is minimal.
What if I give something they don't really need?
Mara asks that you e-mail or contact her first to be sure the item or service is still needed. If it is not and you are still interested in helping a Service Dog Team, she may refer you to another team with that need.
What is a real Service Dog? I thought there were just Guide Dogs?

How Sponsorship Works
Training - Veterinary Care - Food - Other Supplies
When you decide that you would like to sponsor Freely with a specific service, you can make your contribution directly to that service provider under Mara Windstar's name and specify for the use of "Freely". They will provide a credit to her "Freely Account" and the contribution will be used as it is needed. You can also give specific items. Mara and Freely believe that this is the clearest way for people to know what they are giving is being used as they wanted, and also for Freely to get what she needs.
Examples
Veterinary Care: You could make a contribution directly to Freely's veterinarian so that there is a credit which can be used for emergency or preventive care.
Training: You could make a contribution directly to Freely's Service Dog Trainer so that Freely can get the training that she needs.
Products & Items: You could send them or bring them directly to Freely. Many items are offered at a better price over the internet. You could place an order and have them drop shipped to Freely. Freely can provide you with places that have the best prices!
