daisy petals stick to my feet as i walk across the damp grass. Bright sunshine makes every leaf on the alders coruscating in the wind stand out, a long line of green ringing the park. a dog barking brings my attention to a woman aged about 30 exercising her labrador 50 yards away, slightly to my right. she spots me at the same time, and we both change direction towards each other. as she gets closer, i confirm that i don't know her, and adjust the age estimate to about 34. she smiles, and i smile back in reply. her dog is lolloping back slowly, obviously old, i can hear it wheezing from here. understandable, it really is a beautiful day. we meet, and stop walking, looking each other straight in the eyes. "incredible sky" i observe, not looking up. her eyes are shining with the vivacity i love to see in people. we kiss, and i close my eyes as is the custom. her tongue is pleasantly warm. the dog finally arrives and knocks our legs. we detach, laughing. i'm holding her upper arms, and the way she holds my ribcage is rich with friendliness. "my dog would kiss you too" she laughs, and i laugh as well. the sunlight is filling my mind up enough to overflow, and i am very happy. i tilt my mouth towards hers for a goodbye, and we kiss again for ten seconds or so. i steal some of her breath as we part, and savour the taste of another human being while i walk on towards the park entrance. i don't look back, and i know that neither does she.
