suddenly there life appears! rushing past on either side and all around me like a surroundsound express train, teeming with people, backtoback good songs, variety, an easy motivation to be better, and rich colours daubed everywhere with a liberal hand. where is the adoring eye now as i am swept up by a thousand breathless touches, borne away by an incomprehensible beauty, sketching me a shuddering exquisite sorrow to rise into, an eternal hollow home in the wind from where i can do the right thing, day in day out, until i blend into the picture well enough and can float away like the clouds originally drawn did long before, maybe never to be seen again?
