Magickal Books

Here are some books I recommend to people who would like to explore more Wicca. I myself have read most of them, so I can also give my thoughts on the book.

Teen Witch: Wicca For A New Generation
Author: Silver RavenWolf
Have I Read It: Yes
My Thoughts: Excellent book for beginners.

To Ride A Silver Broomstick
Author: Silver RavenWolf
Have I Read It: Yes
My Thoughts: Very informative and handy.

To Stir A Magick Cauldron: A Witch's Guide To Casting and Conjuring
Author: Silver RavenWolf
Have I Read It: No

To Light A Sacred Flame: Practical Witchcraft For The Millenium
Author: Silver RavenWolf
Have I Read It: No

Wicca: A Guide For The Solitary Practitioner
Author: Scott Cunningham
Have I Read It: Yes
My Thoughts: Cunningham is a more serious author, and the book is loaded with information.

Witches' Datebook 2002
Author: Scott Cunningham
Have I Read It: Yes
My Thoughts: Well although this is the version for 2002, I can only assume that 2005 is nearly the same. The calendar is excellent- giving moonphases, celebration, harvest times, star and sun movement, and even little recepies now and then! Excellent for every-day use.

The Modern Witch's Spellbook
Author: Sarah Lyddon Morrison
Have I Read It: Yes
My Thoughts: Watch out! This book is not for beginners. I don't use this book at all, but I do want to warn you about it. This book neglects the rule of "Harm None", and some spells inside are dangerous- some even deadly. As someone else said, you're far better off with a book that dicusses the Crede and the Rule of Three. I would honestly worry about the harm you may bring to yourself doing some of these spells.
