Alan's Birthday - The Night
The cast (in alphabetical order):
Alan, Blair, Blayne, Brendan, Brian, Colleen,
Dan, Heather, Jeff, Rob, Sarah, Shane, Suz.
I'll start from when we left Alan's house.
We were all going to go out and light off some celebratory fireworks because they are FUN!....oh,
and it was Alan's 17th Birthday
Shane went to heather's cause of his bike and we were picking up heather anyways so it would just
be more convienient that way. We discuss who takes what vehicle to get to the "Old Abandoned
Grain Elevators", and who is to pick up Shane and Heather. It was the car I was in that was chosen
to pick them up. So it was all talked about and confirmed ...apparently.
The car got to Heather's within about 2 minutes. We go into the front door and buzz Heather's
apartment, her mom answered.
"I'm sorry, Heather went out", she said.
"Damn!", I thought.
So we headed off to the parking area near the "Old Abandoned Grain Elevators", to meet up with
everyone else and figure out where Shane and Heather disappeared to. No one was there. In a few
minutes though, one car pulled up. It was another load of people. Still no Shane and Heather. So
we waited a bit longer and pondered what might have happened. We came to the conclusion that
Brian had taken them hostage and was showing them his neat stuff (stereo, etc.).
Finally Brian arrived and Shane and Heather were there with him.
Yay.
All of us were finally there, so we wandered off to the "Old Abandoned Grain Elevators". It only
took like 5 minutes as it was not too far to walk. We had good fun watching Jeff light the fireworks.
Some of them he had flying down the halls of the "Old Abandoned Grain Elevators", and some
were shooting out through the holes. It was neat to see the ones go down the structure because all
the holes light up and it looks...neat.
It was an impressive sight.
Later, after a bunch of the fireworks were set off we all ventured deep into the depths of the "Old
Abandoned Grain Elevators", to explore some of the better graffitti(however it's spelled).
I (Blair) left the party and wandered back out to the top. I followed them around from up there
without them even knowing. Muhaha. How clever of me. At one of the holes, they stopped and
appreciated one of the works of paint. I ducked down so they could barely see me and watched
them through one of the holes. I swept a few rocks (wee ones) down at them and a few people got
scared. they just couldn't see me!
*cackles*
It seemed they didn't want to take their chances so they ran out of there....fast. Many threats of
death were placed upon me when they saw me snickering about the incident. Oh well, the anger
passed and we went to light off more fireworks, but the inevitable happened.
We ran out
*sigh*
So we headed back to the cars to take a trip to Tim Hortons...
And that is a completely different story...
Tim Hortons...
as seen through the eyes of the Blair.
So there we were, sitting in Tim Hortons and having a nice little conversation when two famales
walked in. The time was about 01:00 am or something like that. I was standing around just listening
to the conversation and then suddenly from behind me I heard, "See that guy there?, he's kinda
cute". I turned around to see who they were talking about. I followed their glance and it turns out
that they were talking about Brian. I found that kind of funny myself, but oh well. They just kept
looking over at him and talking about him. Finally one of them looks at Brian and tells him that he
cute. (They were clearly drunk) He seemed pretty proud and went along with their conversation.
Eventually they asked all of us to go over to her friends house to go swimming because it was
summer and it was hot out. We decided not to. She kept on flirting with Brian and it was very
comical. They were "learning" things about each other and about us. She said that she was 27 years
old yet she feels 19 and she doesn't always act in the manner that she was (drunk). We told her that
we were all around the age of 22 and she seemed to believe. Kind of. Her story kept changing,
which just added to the comedy of the night. First, she said that her friend had a pool and we could
all go swimming there. Then she said that she met her friend on the way to Tim Hortons. I asked her
friend how long they knew each other and she said about 2 months. I believed her more because
she didn't seem as drunk. Anyways, back to the things we learned about them. The drunker of the
two said that she was in York University studying psychology, and her boyfriend goes to U of T. I
forget what she said he was there for, but oh well. Brian just kept on talking to her. The less drunk
one just stayed quiet. The more drunk one is who this story is mostly about. She has got to be one
of the funniest drunk people I have ever met.
Later, an older man walked into Tim Hortons and she started talking to him, she told us that he was
her husband. She kept calling him honey and baby and he was just trying to get his coffee and try to
get away from her pretty fast. She asked for her honey to buy her a Boston Cream. As she was
talking to us she kept yelling to the man asking where her Boston Cream is. We were all having a
good laugh. She claimed that her and the man had 2 kids, a boy and a girl. The kids were 7 years
old and 10 years old. The man finally got his coffee and headed towards the door. "Where are you
going, Honey?", she asked him.
He told her that he has to leave and go to work. The girl got upset. She didn't want him to leave
her. After he left, the girl was unhappy on how the man left her in Tim Hortons. But she just carried
on talking to us afterwards. She said that Dan was cute and he looked like Mr. Bean. He does kind
of. After a few more minutes of talking she started to "flirt" with Alan. Apparently Alan and the girl
are married and have 2 kids. She started calling him Honey, and names like that. At this point I
grabbed a napkin and started writing out some of the things she has been talking about so I can post
it here. That didn't work too well because the napkin made the pen fade after only a few words.
Luckily, Shane happened to have some paper and I continued to write. The girl wanted to know
what I was writing and I said it was just a little story about her. Other people started saying that it
was a love note or poem or something. She really wanted to see it. But I said it wasn't finished. I
told her that I would be posting it on the net and she could read it if she wants. I wrote down the
site address for this here club and gave it to her. She thanked me and then her friend said that it was
time to leave. She waved good-bye to us all and said that I was good and creative for writing about
her. She left Tim Hortons with her friend and on her way out I asked her her name..... Michelle.
It was by far one of the funniest days of my life.
