Heart and Soul Rabbitry is a small 15-20 hole rabbitry located near Bemidji, Minnesota. It is a registered rabbitry - #T297, registered February 8th, 2002, although it has been up and running for about 5 years now. It was created by myself, Trista, 15, and my sister, Caitlyn, 18. I regret to say that Caitlyn has just moved out a few months ago and has discontinued raising rabbits. Although, I am still running the rabbitry. We breed Standard Rex rabbits, concentrating on the Black variety. We do occasionally have Blues and Brokens, though. All stock come with pedigree and written guarantee of health and quality.

When I was about 7 or 8 years old, my sister bought a rabbit. About half a year after that, she bought two more. I always had to follow in her footsteps, so of course, I wanted a rabbit, too. We ended up starting to go to our county fair every year, then signed up with the ARBA and went to ARBA shows in different towns every summer. We just sort of held onto this hobby, but the past year, we slacked off a little bit. But now that Caitlyn is gone, I decided to take over the rabbitry and get it running good again.

Together, my sister and I have won many awards at ARBA shows, including Best in Show, Best of Breed, Best Opposite Sex, Best of Variety, and Best Opposite Variety. Caitlyn has won one Showmanship Grand Champion, and I have won over five. I won Grand Champion Rex at the 2002 Minnesota State Fair with Kelsey, my broken blue, and hope to do it again in a little over a month at the 2003 Minnesota State Fair with Lola, my black soon-to-be breeding doe.
