CENTAUR

M.O.M.- XXXX

The Centaur has a human head, torso, and arms joined to a horse's body which may be any of several colors. Being intelligent and capable of speech, it should not strictly speaking be termed a beast, but by its own request it has been classified as such by the Ministry of Magic.

The Centaur is forest-dwelling. Their ways are shrouded in mystery. They are mistrustful of wizards and muggles alike. They live in herds ranging in size from ten to fifty members. They are reputed to be well-versed in magical healing, divination, archery, and astronomy.

TROLLS

M.O.M. -XXXX

The troll is a fearsome creature up to twelve feet tall and weighing over a ton. Notable for its strength and stupidity, the troll is often violent and unpredictable.

There are three types of trolls: mountain, forest and river. The mountain troll is the largest and the most vicious. Trolls eat raw flesh and are not fussy in their prey, which ranges from wild animals to humans.

NORWEGIAN RIDGEBACK DRAGON

M.O.M.- XXXXX

Probably the most famous of all magical beasts, dragons are among the most difficult to hide. The female is generally larger and more aggressive than the male, though neither should be approached by any but highly skilled and trained wizards. Dragon eggs are defined as Class A Non-Tradeable Goods.

The Norwegian Ridgeback sports prominent jet-black ridges along its back. Exceptionally aggressive to its own kind, the Ridgeback is one of the rarer dragon breeds. The young develop fire-breathing abilities earlier than other breeds (between one and three months).
