The Chubbies-Go-Diving Story

"Chubbies Go Diving" came about in a flurry of emails between Lolo, Scott and myself (the MAIN chubbies of this group!) while organising our first diving trip in April 2001 with Absolut Wreck Diving & Tours in Ban Krut.  I think Lolo came up with the name... something to do with chubby people in wetsuits - hmmmm?  Anyway, this trip, which was a reunion between friends from all over the world, some of whom hadn't seen each other in years, spawned a new surge of dive addiction and in turn a second trip has been and gone -  Similan Islands in February 2002.   Next trip being considered as I write this.  The biggest junkies, of course, are Cat and myself.  When we first started, we decided to be purely recreational divers - that is no longer.  We've both just finished MFA and I believe Cat is doing her Rescue Diver course right now - aaargh, she's going to be one up on me again! (No competition here, of course....)  I will complete my Rescue course as time permits, and then it's onto DMT for both of us.  

KAMIKAZES are now out and Pina Coladas are in - I heard that kZa was doing a bit of mixing last weekend....

Next dive trip

We're in a dilemma!  Red Sea or GBR?  As long as I don't have to organise it this time, I don't care... just tell me where we're going and how much I have to pay.
