Spiral into Horror

Uzumaki is about a weird little town in Japan.
The main character, a normal girl named Kirie is introduced by her boyfriend, Shuichi,
to the idea that the town they live in is haunted.
That's not all. The town is haunted not by a person or a beast,
but by a pattern.
Uzumaki- the spiral.

Shuichi says he notices the very strange spiral pattern because he goes
to school in a different town and notices the strange repeating pattern.
Indeed, there are many spiraling gusts of air, whirlpools
in the water, and spiral-shaped ferns in the town.
Chapters 1 and 2 tell the horrible story of how the lives of
Shuichi's parents were ended, coincidentally both had a connection to the spiral pattern.
