Miss
Teen St. Thomas is a Cultural pageant geared towards the development
and exposure of the Teenage girls within the parish. The main objectives
are to prepare the young women to represent their peers and to become
ambassadors for their communities.
This
competition is open to contestants between the ages 14 to 17 years,
who are culturally aware, self confident and willing to take on the
challenge.
The
President Ms. Icidora Francis saw the need for such an organisation
and was motivated by her dreams of being a professional Fashion Designer.
This was indeed the ideal avenue. With voluntary assistance from Vice
President Mr. Jonathan Baker and Technical Advisor Mr. Donovan Francis
the competition got on the way with its inaugural staging on the 5th
of August 2006.
The
initial staging was a great success with a professional setting by
our dedicated team members. Mr. Leon Ford and Mrs. Nasha Ford our
coordinators, contributed greatly to such a spectacular event. Working
tirelessly to ensure the contestants were well groomed and professionally
matured to appeal to the audience.

Mission and Vision
Our
Mission and Vision is expressed clearly through our theme: Think
Positive towards the Future.
We would like to change the negative trend that has escalated amongst
young people in recent times. To effect the change we intend to build
the self confidence and esteem of teenage girls who fall victims to
peer pressure and abuse, through a series of Educational and Cultural
events.
Positive awareness is the first step in educating the youths of the
roles that they are expected to play to build a foundation for the
future generation. Too many times these precious minds are wasted
due to the lack of knowledge.
We
intend to extend our agenda and incorporate something for the young
men also. The aim for the future is to create a positive alternative
for our young people and with your help and our dedication, hands
in hands we can make it happen.
Whatever
you can do we will readily accept, whether it be a contribution of
sponsorship or you are a motivational speaker you can come onboard
