THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT

The seals of the offices of the President and Vice President

of the United States.

 

The head of this office is sometimes called the leader of the free world! ..Why do you think that some people think that this person can hold so much power  - does he/she hold that much power?   In this quest you will discover the powers of the President - and who the members of the president's cabinet are.   How many cabinet posts are there and what does each do.

Your job is to create a chart telling of the different cabinet posts - who heads each posts and what that office does. 

Again you will also work on answering the questions about the Executive branch on your worksheets.

WEBSITE # 1 This is the official web page of the Whitehouse. This is a great site for information on the Presidents past and current!  Click on the top where it says kids for even more information in a easy to understand format.

WEBSITE # 2 will give you information about the election process for the executive office.

Your chart will be grade on the following:

Each cabinet post is clearly defined        

·         tell what that office does

·         who heads that office                               

·         when was that office established

Each cabinet post is placed on the chart in order of its creation
