In this web quest you will learn about the role of the court system in the United States. You will also learn about the reason they call the court system "The Ladder of the Courts."

Your assignment is to answer the questions on the worksheet provided.
You can use the following websites to help you in this quest as well as doing an Internet search - and library search.
WEBSITE # 1 is the website of the United States Supreme Court. Be sure to check out the different links to find important information you will need to complete this webquest.
WEBSITE # 2 is Judicial Branch part of a ThinkQuest website about the branches of government. Make sure you check out the other links on this page - for some more answers to your questions.
WEBSITE # 3 A great site to tell you some history of things that have happened with the federal courts of the United States. This site will give you some of the answers you may be seeking especially if you look at links within this page.
WEBSITE # 4 will require you to do some searching for information - but this site gives some general information about the Courts of the United States - but you will have to click on links to find out about the level of each of the courts.
Your weekly assignment for this part of your webquest is to create a poster about some Supreme court Decision from the list provided.
