
- A page should be more than Hotlists. Include more information on personal pages rather that just links that have been viewed recently.
- Outline is organized and consistant.
- Uniqueness, original content.
- The page has depth, meaning the viewer is interested in exploring more of the site after the first look.
- Fun creativity. The creator has incorporated personal insight into their life.
- Simple and straightforward titles and page headings.
- Good color tone. Light text with a dark background or dark text with a light background
- A page is easy to read and navigate through.
- Fonts should be similar throughout the whole page. Use no more then three different types.
- The length of the opening page should not exceed two pages.
Bad Web Page Design
- Graphics take away from the overall appearance of the page.
- The "intro" is unimportant and doesn't relate to information the page is trying
to provide.
- Colors of the background and text are to similar and makes it hard to read.
- Web pages that have way too much information on the homepage..
- Text is to small for many customers to read
- Titles or text is used as a graohic and/or is poor quality.
- Links are uncorrect and misleading.
- Webpage is copied from another source or unoriginal.
